1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
---|---|---|---|---|
LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

Can’t see my old review on here, but I had the treatment at Accuvision 9 years ago and still have 20/20 vision. Seriously worth doing. Don’t go for the cheapest option, you only have one pair of eyes. Save up and go for the best. Had friends finally have the operation, universal response is ‘should have done it years ago’. Huge amounts of both time and money saved since then in putting in/taking out and cleaning lenses, buying them, glasses, cleaning fluids, opticians appointments etc.

I have now been free of glasses, contact lenses (and glasses over contact lenses!) for 3 months and I am still thrilled with the result. What a great team at Wetherby. Friendly, reassuring, professional and clearly brilliant at their job! I have no hesitation in recommending Accuvision. Steer clear of the rest. Choose a company led by people that really can change your life.

I was so impressed with Simon and the team at the Wetherby clinic. I felt completely at ease from my initial consultation through to the laser eye surgery treatment. The surgery I felt was very quick and the results almost instant. I have to admit that I was at a loss for words following my laser eye correction treatment and the results are amazing. I would recommend Accuvision to anyone. A big thanks to all at Accuvision Wetherby. Words cannot explain what it is like not to have to wear glasses or lenses any more!.

Having spent over a year checking out laser eye surgery and visiting all the main competition I settled on Accuvision in Leeds (Wetherby). I got very positive vibes about the professionalism of Accuvision and various misgivings about the others. This week I finally had my appointment with destiny. I arrived at the Wetherby centre at 1pm and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. I have to say I was incredibly surprised by the experience. I can honestly say I did not feel one iota of pain and the entire visit was not one tenth the discomfort of going to the dentist. I was under the laser at 1.45pm and at home watching TV at 4pm. At 11am the following morning, my check up appointment revealed I was good enough to drive! I can't describe the sheer pleasure of reading a newspaper unaided after all these years. So if you're reading this and you're not sure then ask yourself why? It can't be the fear of pain because there is none. It can't be the cost because Accuvision is far better value than the rivals. If you're looking for a laser eye company that puts professionalism before salesmanship, that puts quality before spin, that puts customer experience before sales targets, that will make you feel relaxed, and put you back in control of your life fast, then book that appointment right this minute at Accuvision Wetherby. Your only regret is that you didn't make the decision ages ago.

My consultation with Nick at the clinic in Solihull was excellent. By the end of the hour, I was very clear about the options available to me. There was no pressure at all; I was strongly encouraged to think everything through and to contact the clinic again if I wished to go ahead with surgery. I chose to have monovision and returned to Solihull 2 weeks later to have the surgery. It wasn't painful but it was quite an intense few minutes as each eye was treated. Within a couple of hours it was all over and I was on my way home again. I didn't experience any significant pain; my eyes felt tired and scratchy and were sensitive to light, but otherwise okay. I returned the following day to have the contact lense 'bandages' removed. By this time, I could see some improvement already , though my eyes were a bit itchy and vision still quite blurred. Recovery has been slightly slower in my case. A week on, my vision was better but not as good as I'd hoped (particularly when driving and at night) and my eyes were red and very dry. I panicked a little reading other testimonials, as most people seemed to have 20/20 vision almost immediately. However, I needn't have worried. I've just come from my 1-week check-up and feel much more confident. I have 20/20 vision now and, although things aren't yet as clear as I'd like, I understand that this is to do with the temporary dryness of my eyes, which is expected to settle down in the coming weeks. I have some different eye drops, which immediately helped, and I'm looking forward to getting even better vision in the weeks ahead. Hopefully the results of my 1-month check-up will be even better. I'm looking forward to it now!

After around 40 years of wearing glasses, I finally plucked up the courage to go for the free consultation. I had considered a few different companies, but decided on Accuvision based on testimonials and their personal approach to treatment. The consultation went well, Vikesh was very thorough and answered any questions I had. Due to my high prescription +8 and Astigmatism, I found out I was unsuitable for laser correction, I was however offered IOL replacement. I researched the treatment online and about a week later booked the dates for my surgery. In IOL replacement they operate on the dominant eye first, then the second non dominant eye some weeks later. The operations both went well with no pain whatsoever, you wear a patch on the eye for the first 24 hours post op, then a course of eye drops for about 6 weeks. The results are lifechanging, I can now read small print clearly and drive without glasses, even at night. I cannot thank Accuvision enough, especially Vikesh and my surgeon Chad Rostron.

Right from my first consultation I found Accuvision to be very professional and thorough. They explained all the details involved in the surgery and I was impressed by all the staff I came across in their Fulham surgery. They made me feel relaxed about the treatment whilst giving me full warning of the possible, if unlikely side effects. I am 58 years of age and am less concerned about my eyes than I am about my 24 year old daughter who has been wearing glasses and more recently contact lenses since she was a child. One of my main reasons for undergoing the treatment was to be reassured that before paying for my daughter to do the same I wanted the confidence of undergoing it myself. In the event that is exactly what we did and I'm delighted to be able to confirm that she too has now had her eyes lasered at Accuvision with equally successful results.

After 25 years of wearing glasses and contact lenses then varifocals i went to Acuvision last Tuesday 12th Jan 2010 and after 4/5 minutes of painless procedure i could see and read the small print of the book given to me and the registrations on the cars in front of us coming home it was truly and utterly amazing I cannot emphasize how i felt, like a new person. FABULOUS. I have gone back today the 19th jan for my weekly check up and have been told I have 20/20 vision which I have not had for years and years, thank you Acuvision. The staff are wonderful, so polite and care for you and not the money side which is a breath of fresh air. I have that much faith in Acuvision I am taking my son and friend on the 2nd Feb to have their eyes lasered. Thank you again for helping me to see and read books and the daily paper and wear everyday sunglasses. Thank You Teresa.

It was time to update my glasses which I did every two years when I saw an advertisement in the Excelle magazine for eye laser treatment by Accuvision. I made an appointment and was very impressed with the quality of the people, the equipment and the concept of laser eye surgery. Despite some initial apprehension about eyes and lasers I decided to go ahead. The painless effective therapy I received was just what Accuvision had said it would be. I have clear vision without glasses or contact lenses. I am still amazed that I could see almost at once and the follow up meeting next day cleared the contact lens bandages and my vision was perfect. I am telling everyone about my experience so that they may benefit as I have done. Thank you Accuvision, well done.

Being significantly short sighted (-9.50!) I was dubious that have surgery would be able to correct my vision fully. After a thorough consultation my expectations were managed, they would aim for full correction but I might need some prescription afterwards. I had my surgery at the beginning of December and the thing that stays with me now was the kindness and friendliness of the surgeons and opthalmologists. I was really nervous about the procedure (for no reason, it does not hurt) and they were so nice and calm which helped me so much. The best thing about it all is that I now have 20/20 vision! I'm amazed and couldn't recommend having the surgery and especially Accuvision enough. Best thing I've done in a long time.

I'd been told for years that as my eyesight was so bad and my astigmatism so severe, I couldn't have laser eye treatment. But a friend recommended ACCUVISION, who specialise in curing difficult prescriptions like mine. Just five minutes of painless treatment later and I have even better than 20/20 vision! I still can't believe it-the experience really has changed my life! I honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough. What are you waiting for? GO AND DO IT!
