I had wavefront - lasik in Dublin yesterday thurs. 5/2/9 less than 24 hours later my sight is brillant. No pain, and brilliant sight. Mr. Kazakos was professional, helpful, friendly and made me feel comfortable. I would 100% recommend his work and his approach to his work. My advice to anyone thinking about getting this done, is go for it, and listen to the instructions and follow them.

Last Friday i got Lasik surgery done with wavefront. I was immediately delighted with the result. The staff were very nice and they took care of me very well. They were very good for informing me of what was to happen next. Before the surgery, my surgeon, Dimitri Kazokos went through the procedure in detail and cleared up any queries I had. During the surgery I remained at ease because he and his team were very professional and made me feel very comfortable. The surgery lasted only about 10 minutes and Dimitri talked his way through letting me know how many seconds were left of any one feeling. This made me feel very calm. He also asked me if I wanted him to talk through it or if I preferred not to hear it which I thought was very nice as I know some people don't like to know. The surgery was over before I knew it and I could see perfectly straight away except for a slight hazy or foggy sensation in my eyes. The team were all very good and I walked out of there with the best gift I could ever have asked for.... good vision. At my 24 hour post-op I was told that my vision was even better than 20/20 and I had no pain or discomfort. I am very grateful to Dimitri and his wonderful team and I would recommend them to anyone thinking of getting Laser Eye Surgery. It is without a doubt the best money I ever spent. Thank You.

I had Lasik Wavefront surgery last week (26/02/09) in Optical Express in Belfast. I had a strong prescription of minus 6/7 and was extremely nervous about the procedure. I had of a lot of friends and family that had it done and recommended Optical Express to me, although all of their surgery's had gone well it was still nerve wracking to think I was getting my own done too.On the morning of my surgery I had to fill in a consent form and the staff at the reception were very welcoming and calming by offering me tea and coffee and asking if I had an concerns or questions. Then another member of staff took me in to an examining room to check nothing had changed regarding my prescription etc from my consultation the previous month.Once this was completed a nurse came and took me into the room where my surgery was going to be performed, once in here they invited any questions I may have had and made me feel extremely comfortable by telling me what was to be done and that they would be putting in eye drops to numb my eyes etc. When Mr. Kazakos came in he too invited any queries I had and explained the procedure in detail and offered to show me the equipment that was to be used, I found this helped me relax as I was fully aware of what was going to happen. The surgery itself was over in less than 10 mins and I didn't feel a thing whatsoever. I was actually quite comfortable!!After this one of the nurses took me into another room where it was slightly dark to rest my eyes whilst she explained the aftercare etc. I remember whilst she was talking to me I couldn't stop looking around as I could already see so clearly... I actually thought it was clearer than what my eyesight was like with glasses or lenses!!After I left Optical Express I found my eyes were slightly watery, hazey and my eyelids felt a bit heavy, but apart from this I had brilliant eyesight already and still no pain! Also, I arrived at Optical Express at 10:30 that morning and was leaving at 11:00am!! So quick and efficient.Once I got home I slept for an hour or two and after that the watery eyes, haziness and heavy eyelids had gone! The next day for my 24hour check up I had an eye test which I was told I had 20/20 vision already, it was amazing! I felt brilliant and was so thankful to Mr. Kazakos for giving me the best gift anyone could ever have given me...I would whole heartedly recommend this to everyone, don't let nerves put you off, it's so worth it!!!!!I have my 1 week check up tomorrow and am looking forward to seeing the staff again.

I got my surgery done on 26/02/09 in Donegal Place, Belfast. Although it is a very busy waiting room to be in, it didn't put me off. I always felt at ease and the staff were very professional. My right eye prescription had been +0.25/-3.50x7 and my left eye -0.50/-3.25x157. I met Mr Dimitri Kazakos that morning and he answered any further questions I had had. The surgery surpised me because I felt nothing. amazing! I needed lasik wavefront intralase. They took me at 08.55 and I was out by 9.10. After sitting for about half an hour my eyes were checked by Mr Dimitri Kazakos and I was allowed home. When I got home I rested for 2 hours,( couldn't sleep because the phone kept ringing and the door kept being rapped). I got up and my vision was good, just a little blurry. This continued to improve and I have just been for my 1 week review. I have better than 20/20 vision.Would I recommend it? without a doubtMr Dimitri Kazakos and the staff were fantastic

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!I had lazik wavelength treatment at the Cardiff branch on Thursday 5 March. I travelled to Cardiff on the train down through the Welsh Valleys, the procedure was entirely painless with Mr Dimitris Kazakos explaining everything about the operation before and during the procedure. I felt at ease from the moment I spoke to the gentleman, he has totally changed my life. I once again travelled to Cardiff on the following day by train for my Post operative 24hr appointment and could not believe how different the Valleys look. I now have better than 20/20 vision and have already told my friends and family. One piece of advice I will give you if you are thinking of having the treatment. DO IT STRAIGHT AWAY.Once againThankyou Dimitris

I had Lasik Wavefront surgery last weekend 28/2/09. I was very nervous but Mr Kasakos answered all my worries and put me at ease. The nurses were all great ,and reassured me the whole way from start to finish. The procedure was painless and over very quickly, a nurse made me a cup of tea and sat with me in a darkened room , it was amazing, straight away my vision was so much clearer ,even though things were still hazey after the drops. When Mr Kazakos came back to check my eyes I could have kissed him, I am so grateful for my sight !I came home and rested, you definitely need very dark sunglasses, your eyes are so sensitive to the light. I work evenings and wasn't confident driving for a couple of days due to the glare off the headlights. I have had my weekly check up and all is well. If you are thinking about Laser Surgery go and check it out, its life changing !Thank you Mr Kazakos, you make miracles happen !

I had Lasik wavefront intralase surgery on 4th March 09. I was very nervous but Mr Kazakos talked me through everything and reassured me about the procedure. The procedure was very quick and only slightly uncomfortable but I was given reassurance throughout the whole procedure. My eyes were sore, watery and light sensitive for a few hours afterwards but after a short nap I woke up feeling much better and with perfect vision! At my 24 hours post-op check my vision was better than 20/20 and my eyes felt much more comfortable! I would definitely recommend having the procedure done and would absolutely recommend Dimitris Kazakos as your surgeon!!

I had lasik wavefront on 4th March in Bristol at Cribbs Causeway. The surgeon was very profession and so quick! He talked me through the whole procedure and there was no pain what so ever. I was extremely nervous and gave up wearing contact lenses as I did not like things touching my eye and I felt that the surgeon obviously sensed this and did an excellent job putting me at ease! I could not afford the intraIase so had microkeratome blade which did not hurt. The whole thing only seemed to take 2 mins (It may have been 10 but did not fell like it!) I did not seem to get heavy eye lids and my eyes didn't run which the staff had explained to me was a possible side effect during the first 24 hours. 24 hours later I could see perfectly (better than 20/20), again in no pain but at my check up the optician noted that there was some inflammation so recommended I increased the drops - again still no pain though! I even had a phone call that evening from the staff again recommending a change in the course of action (which I think was recommended by the surgeon after they contacted him to inform him of what had happened) to help clear up the inflammation. After 48 hours I attended another check up to monitor the situation and the inflammation had gone and two different opticians checked my eyes just to be certain! The aftercare was amazing and I could not fault the staff. I immediately got used to not having to reach for my glasses first thing in the morning and would definitely recommend this procedure and surgeon.

On the 5th March I had Lasik Laser treatment with Optical Express, Cardiff. I am amazed at the results 20/20 vision after 24hrs.All the staff at Optical Express have been wonderful, very friendly, most helpful. The procedure was painless and over very quickly. I could see the results straight away, apart from a milky haze which wore off within hours, On the day of treatment Mr Dimitri Kazakos went through the procedure in detail, this made feel very comfortable with the treatment I was about to receive.Following laser surgery a nurse, while I was resting went through the aftercare. Following their advice I did not have any discomfort. I am extremely grateful to Dimitri and his wonderful team for an amazing gift of life changing 20/20 vision. If anybody is having second thoughts then don't. You will be amazed at the results.I can not thank the team enough.
