I visted the Optical Express branch in Peterborough. They charged me £200 straight away, which they said was to ensure booking for the surgery. They arranged to telephone me in a few days to check how I was getting on as we had agreed I shold experiment by wearing just one contact lense. They forgot to call. When I telephoned to complain it was obvious that they had not entered in their records that they should contact me. I asked for the £200 fee to be refunded to me. They said this would take 7-10 days but that they would chase after 7 days. This was 9 days ago and I have heard nothing and the money has not been refunded.

Fantastic. After so many years of debating whether or not to have my eyes done, I had the surgery in Milton Keynes and regretted I hadn't done it sooner. Within a few hours I could see clearly things I had never noticed before. Really incredible. Everyone at Milton Keynes was brilliant. Special mention to Varna and Mr Koppell, who performed the surgery. They made me feel at ease, as I was very nervous. I had my surgery yesterday at the Leeds clinic. I have worn my glasses for 14 years and have been considering surgery for 5 years. My prescription was -3 in both with a -1 astigmatism. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. My appointment was at 10:30 and my surgeon was Mr Khan. By 11:30 my treatment was complete. The surgery was totally PAINLESS. It took 27 seconds for my right eye and 24 for the left. I woke up this morning to a world I have not seen for years. My advise to anyone considering surgery - please don't waste time thinking about it - just do it. You will not regret it one bit. If it had cost me double I would gladly pay. It is worth every penny. All the staff at optical express are fab. From my initial consultation at Meadowhall to the lady who made me a cup of tea at the surgery clinic. Please have it done!!! Its fantastic.
