1. Review of Centre for Sight Clinic
Centre for Sight is a long-standing and renowned eye surgery clinic, with three practices in London, Surrey and West Sussex. Its leading consultant eye surgeon, Mr Sheraz Daya, founded the clinic way back in 1996 with a clear mission: provide exemplary eye care to patients in facilities that are purpose-built with their needs in mind.
What makes Centre for Sight different? Centre for Sight is based on Mr Daya’s vision that better surroundings can provide a higher standard of care. Today patients get to enjoy a spa-like or luxury hotel experience, rather than the dread of most hospital surgeries.
Is there anything else I should know? As you’d expect then, this clinic also comes with the price tag that accompanies a five-star experience. Yes, the facilities are kitted out with high-end diagnostic tech and quality lenses, backed up by a team of highly trained staff. But you leave all the fancy atmosphere behind the moment you step outside the clinic, and it won’t be a priority for everyone.

On average, 723 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid between £2,400 and £3,615 per eye for laser eye and lens replacement surgery at Centre for Sight since 2002. These costs are slightly above the average price range of £1,789 and £3,152 – high street clinics such as Optical Express and Ultralase were the cheapest places we found.
Here are the fixed costs of eye surgery at Centre for Sight:
- Laser eye surgery cost: £2,300 per eye (from £77 per month)
- IntraLASIK Supracor cost: £2,575 per eye (from £86 per month)

Centre for Sight also provides interest free pay monthly finance options over a generous 24 months – with some clinics, you’ll be paying 11% APR after the first year. As with most clinics, there’s a deposit of £500 to secure the surgery, but this cost comes off the total cost.

A little more time to talk to the surgeon at the first appointment would have been helpful & saved on phoning with various questions afterwards. However all questions were dealth with with great courtesy and helpfulness.

I didn't feel very sedated during the operation and was aware of consciously keeping myself calm. A very positive experience, I felt in very safe hands and was amazed at my vision 24 hours later, the best in 30 years of lenses.

From initially phoning in, to the operation very seemless. Would recommend to friends and colleagues with sight problems.

Excellent service, staff are very polite. Though surgery is expensive, I feel happy and releaved not to wear glasses/contacts any longer. Would like to thank the team for all they have done.

Hi All I had IntraLasik performed at Centre for Sight 7 months ago. I've got 6/4 vision in both eyes now and no astigmatism at all (from an original Rx of approx -6.0 D wth astigmatism in both eyes). My corneas were on the thin side thin so we opted for the tissue saving Zyoptix Wavefront treatment. I stayed at a Premier Travel Inn which is not too far from the East Grinstead hospital as I didn't want to be disturbed during the first 24 hours after the op (I've got 2 young children). It was clean and comfy and has a restaurant attached to it, so for the purpose of my stay it was ok. I am a GP and cannot recommend CfS highly enough. I've seen a lot of surgery in my profession and cannot emphasise enough how important it is to go to a good surgeon. Mr Daya is an expert in his field and the whole team at CfS is extremely friendly and professional. Five stars to them, and long may they keep up their good work.

Fantastic experience all round. Felt very well looked after and informed from end to end. The results after less than 24 hours are remarkable and life changing. Mild discomfort and close vision blur at this early stage, but all in line with what I was advised to expect. Many thanks!

I have been looking into surgery for many years. I chose the Centre for Sight due to the extensive experience and success of the surgeon Mr Daya. I felt it worthwhile to travel 250 miles for my treatment. Overall I have been very impressed with every aspect of my treatment. I have felt no pain what so ever and my vision is now better than it was with my glasses and is even better than 20/20. Well done to Mr Daya and Centre for Sight!

I had surgery 3 days ago. The Centre for Sight experience has been a very positive one so far. I was rather surprised to see so many other patients on the day of surgery. Above all I felt I was "in the best hands."
