1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
---|---|---|---|---|
LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

Can’t see my old review on here, but I had the treatment at Accuvision 9 years ago and still have 20/20 vision. Seriously worth doing. Don’t go for the cheapest option, you only have one pair of eyes. Save up and go for the best. Had friends finally have the operation, universal response is ‘should have done it years ago’. Huge amounts of both time and money saved since then in putting in/taking out and cleaning lenses, buying them, glasses, cleaning fluids, opticians appointments etc.

After lots of research and reading the positive reviews on this website, I decided to go with Accuvision for my laser surgery. I'm very glad I did! Everything from the initial consultation, to the day I had my surgery carried out went really well. I was feeling a little bit nervous come surgery day, but I needn't have worried as everything went very smoothly. My eyes were a bit hazy after surgery for the remainder of the day, but 24 hours later and a good nights sleep my vision was excellent. It's taken about a week for my eyes to settle down and feel 100% again, but it's definitely been worth it. I've just been for my follow appointment one week after surgery and my sight is perfect with perfect 20/20 vision. Accuvision were brilliant - they are welcoming, professional and trustworthy and I wouldn't hesitate in encouraging anyone to have their surgery with them. My only advice would be to make sure you take sunglasses with you, not only for after the surgery, but also after the initial consultation. If you're thinking about getting laser eye treatment, don't bother looking elsewhere.

I have been overwhelmed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff at Accuvision. From start to finish their patient care has been excellent - starting from a very in-depth assessment (during which everything was explained in careful detail) to the procedure itself and the post-procedure treatment. The staff at Accuvision show genuine care for their patients and are as much concerned with quality as ensuring that their patients are at ease. I was amazed at how easy and quick the procedure was and how at ease I was at the time. I owe that to the skill and care of the excellent team at Accuvision. I would happily recommend Accuvision to anyone and am already recommending the clinic to my friends.

From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I felt a great sense of warmth and comfort from the Accuvision Team. With regards to the eye exam, everything was explained thoroughly and I was not at all rushed through. Afterwards, during the surgery, I was immediately calmed down by the surgeons and their excellent techniques by constant communicating and reassurance that all was going well. The entire staff were very helpful and took care of me immediately. I did not feel as if I was waiting around. I highly recommend Accuvision to others as their experience has changed my life. The after-care is constant and makes me feel reassured that my eyes are in good health. This company is extremely friendly and professional and should be the 1st option when looking for a consultation.

I had laser surgery around 16 months ago at Accuvision, Solihull and I have had excellent results. I decided to go for laser surgery as I was starting to struggle with contact lenses as I was finding them uncomfortable and dry. Also glasses were giving me headaches and I just didn't like wearing them. I first went for a consultation at Optimax as it's widely advertised. On looking at my prescription (-7 and -8 with astigmatism), the consultant immediately said that I would not be able to have laser surgery as it would require removal of more cornea than what I have, to achieve the results of 20/20 vision. He told me that the only other option would be to have an implanted lens (Intra-ocular lens). Also, if I were to go to any other clinic, they would only agree to the surgery as they were eager for my business, regardless of the outcome and consequences. I was extremely disappointed when I heard this, thinking that I would always need glasses or contact lens. A few months later, a friend recommended that I try Accuvision, after all I had nothing to lose. I went for my consultation with Vikash and he was excellent. He told me that I was able to have the surgery and I had plenty of cornea. The reason why other clinics may not offer maybe because of the variation in equipment which is used. Vikash explained the procedure and the risks and clearly set my expectations. I had the surgery the following month (due to the Christmas break. The surgery itself was nerve wracking, but the nurses and the surgeon were wonderful. The nurse had a little chat with me to ensure that I was relaxed and reassured me that the procedure was painless. During surgery, the nurse constantly checked that I was OK and the surgeon kept me updated on what he was doing next. After surgery, they put in some protective contact lenses and I went back to the waiting area to sit quietly until my post operation check up. During my check up, they found a tiny speck in one of my eyes and they were extremely worried. They asked the surgeon and a couple of consultants for further opinions. The conclusion was that is was harmless and was just some suspension in the fluid, but they didn't want to risk infection, so they swished out my eye and replaced the lens. They were extremely professional and told me everything that they were considering and at no point was I worried. They have very high standards and do not wish to risk infection. The eye was perfectly fine after this, and I had no infection. After the check up the following day, I was given some artificial tears drops, unfortunately I had a reaction to them. I phoned up the clinic straight away and they were wonderful and offered that I see them the following day. They again took all this in their stride and gave me some different drops which were fine. Overall, my experience was not standard, but with a couple of tiny complications. But this highlights that the team were wonderful and with their knowledge and expertise, they were able to resolve any problems quickly without causing any discomfort to the patient. My vision is now 20/20 and from a prescription of -7 and -8 with astigmatism, I now have around -0.5 in each eye. It's an amazing achievement and I never thought that I would ever be rid of my glasses. I have been for my one year check up, but Nick has offered that I return for another check up six months later. This again highlights how professional and responsible the Accuvision team is. I would definitely recommend Accuvision to anyone who is considering Laser eye surgery. Thank you to everyone at Accuvision!

These guys were fantastic, from start to finish. they don't push the "hard sell" and explain everything very thoroughly to you. After my free consultation, it didn't take me long to decide to use these guys, but even then they recommended that I went home and sleep on it. Sure, this isn''t the cheapest option, but these are my eyes we're talking about!! I wouldn't want anything but the best for them, and these guys were great. I was very nervous in surgery, but I needn't have been because not only were Accuvision very professional, they were also very reassuring. I went into surgery, and even though I hadn't been able to see without glasses for 14 years, I walked out with slightly fuzzy, but actually able to see!!! Within 24 hours the fuzziness cleared when i went back a week later I had better than 20/20 vision. Now, 3 months after my op, my vision is still excellent, still better than 20/20, and I couldn't be more delighted! Thank you Accuvision!

Its been over 2 years now and I am still pleased with my sight. I was told before my treatment that i might develop glaucoma as I am long sighted and had a very narrow angle in one eye. Well tomorrow i am having laser treatment for acute closed angle glaucoma. My sister has had this treatment for her glaucoma and it did not work so she has had her lens replaced in both eyes. So fingers crossed my laser works for me tomorrow. Any way thanks to Joan and Brett Halliday for all the help I received. (I had all the same scans at Ultralase weeks before Accuvision and they never picked up my narrow angles)

Very very good as previously reported

After much research and consultations at a number of clinics I decided on Accuvision for my laser surgery. Accuvision were by far: 1) the most helpful in terms of detailed advice, 2) the least pushy, 3) offered the best value, and 3) worked with outstanding technology (including the fastest laser) All the staff at every point before and after the procedure were extremely professional and knowledgeable. An important consideration for me was the decision of whether or not to go with the Intralase procedure for the cutting of the flap. There is a lot of research on this, and the sound advice I received enforced my view based on research that this was not necessary at all. After a few weeks, my vision is now better than 20/20 in both eyes, and I am absolutely pleased with the results. All in all, an excellent experience. I recommend Accuvision completely.

I had consultations with Optical Express and Ultralase prior to visiting the Solihull Accuvision clinic. OE were competent enough, but still left me with the whole feeling of being on a conveyor belt and whilst I couldn't overly fault them I didn't really have the confidence to go ahead with them. Ultralase were just appallingly inefficient at the consultation and I had no desire to go to them for treatment. I was on the point of just not bothering and having a new bathroom suite with the money instead when I did one final trawl of the internet and found Accuvision. Solihull is really close to me so I gave them a call and they fitted me in the next morning for a consultation. As soon as I walked through the door I just felt so much happier, it was more intimate, personal and relaxed. Had my consultation with Nick who was very thorough and professional and explained absolutely everything to me in so much more detail than either of the others had. I just felt totally reassured by him and believed in what he was telling me, at no point did I feel he was after a sale, he just told me what my eyes were, what they needed and what it would cost. An hour later and I was booking my treatment for the following week. The day of surgery and I was really nervous, but very reassured when I got there to see a few people already recovering. The surgery team were fantastic, talked me all the way through the procedure, which wasn't painful or uncomfortable, just rather odd. Within an hour of being there I was on my way back home reading out number plates, much to the irritation of my family after ten minutes *g*. I wasn't one of those who opened their eyes and saw everything crystal clear from the start, my eyes just gradually got better and better over the next 24 hours. By the next morning I was driving, although there was still a slight blurriness at the edge of my vision, but within two days everything had become crystal clear. Over the next three weeks my eyes have just got better and better and I now have better than 20/20 vision, I haven't' seen this well for over 25 years. I can't give enough praise to the clinic, they have been everything I could want or expect. Before having surgery I very wrongly thought that one of the big three would be the way to go, how very wrong I was. This may have been a small clinic, but it was so much more personal and reassuring and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
