Accuvision Laser Eye Clinic

I had my treatment at Accuvision in Solihull. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The surgery itself was painless and over so quickly I could not believe it. My sight was restored almost immediately and the difference it has made is amazing. The aftercare is fantastic. I would really recommend anyone who is thinking of having laser eye treatment to go for it.

Accuvision Solihull were absolutely outstanding. About me: age 37, long sight (+3.75 and +4.25) with astigmatism and right sided squint (correctable by glasses/lenses). Glasses since age of 3 and contacts/glasses since late teens. Major problems over past 2 yrs with eye allergies and eczema-type skin, often sore and angry underneath eyes. Unable to wear contact lenses over recent months and hated thickness of glasses (which revealed squint as soon as I took them off). Nick Dash and team at Accuvision Solihull were amazing. Could not be faulted; totally professional, dedicated and reassuring. My concerns were that i would not be a candidate due to prescription, squint and allergy problems. Thorough pre-op testing for suitability showed slightly thinner than average corneas, but ok to go ahead. Told squint would be correctable with lasik, as it is corrected by contact lenses (had not realised this). I was nervous regarding the outcome, but now 3 weeks later my vision is better than 20/20! I do not need specs or lenses for anything at all! Squint has been corrected - which is just AMAZINGLY liberating and confidence-enhancing. All of my allergies have now gone; we think the contact lenses & solutions had been causing them. I am overjoyed and can't sum it up in words. I have already referred 7 people (2 of whom have already had it done and are as delighted with their outcomes as I am). If you need reassurance, do what i did: Check out the patient testimonials and google 'Nick Dash'. He did all my suitability tests and has played a part in restoring the vision of lots of leading sports people. Surgeons were Mr Jindal and Darius (whose surname begins with P and I can't remember!) who had superb bedside manner and reassured me the whole way through the procedure. I feel it was well worth the money for the benefits and massive improvement in my quality of life. With the squint problem, I feel as though I have had two ops for the price of one. Fab!

I went to most of the clinics in Birmingham/Solihull and decided to go with Accuvision at Solihull, I chose them becuase they gave me by far the better advice during the test clinics that I attended. More importantly they did'nt oversell what they were offering (no short skirted ladies!). The other three clinics I attended were very focused on getting my business/money rather than treating me as a perspective patient. I felt no pressure at Accuvision to sign up to treatment. (I'm still getting calls and emails from one company even after I have told them I have had my eyes treated elsewhere) So Accuvison for pre op care was by miles the best. The operation was painless and over remarkable quickley with no fuss and the surgeon and team were top drawer. Some minor discumfort for a few days post op but hey thats minor stuff. Honestly not painful at all. The results have been fantastic - cant understand why I have not had the treatment years ago (I'm 56 and wearing glasses since 40yo). I play a lot of cricket and post op I'm really amazed how clear everything now looks when I play - My batting is marginally better!. But its all I could have expected. Yes my reading is now worse but I was pre-warned, but its a price I happy to pay given the overwhelming vision I now have. So Accuvison is the place to go - top drawer staff and treatment. Post op care marvellous and not rushed. Get your eyes done now you will not be disapointed and there is NO PAIN !! Alan

As I am naturally short sighted (approx -3D in both eyes) I only had the right eye treated. I'm using mono vision, with an optional weak contact lens for my left eye for computer use. For reading, I don't need the lens. After 3 days, my right eye is already better than with contact lenses. The treatment was quicker and much less uncomfortable than I had expected. The staff were excellent, and so far, no complaints!

I am very pleased with the service. I can see what I was not able to see for last few years. It's like Accuvision has given me a new pair of eyes.

I have just had my first week check up and I have been told I have 20/20 vision. A huge deal for someone who was totally dependent on glasses for the last 20 years. I was so impressed with the level of service from the guys and girls at Accuvision. Along with being extremely professional, they were patient, attentive and supportive with all aspects of the process. From the surgeon, to the nurses and consultants, right through to the secretary, I knew them all by name and had supportive conversations with all. From someone who had a phobia about even touching my eye (never even got up the courage to try lenses) the team at Accuvision put me at ease and helped me through the whole thing. The procedure itself is uncomfortable and a little scary but with the support of the team, the whole experience was a breeze. For anyone out there who is a little nervous about the process or just wanting to find out more, you can't go wrong with Accuvision. I wish I knew how easy it all was because I would have probably done it years ago.

A friend of mine recommended AccuVision Fulham branch to me and I am very happy I got over my fears and had the surgery. I had the initial consultation and surgery on the same day. A bit risky I know but not living in London was a factor and I had already decided to have it done if possible. I was told with my high prescription (over -10 in both eyes with astigmatism) and a thinner than normal cornea, I was a borderline case with higher risks. There was no guarantee that they could completely correct my eyes and it was possible that I would still need to wear glasses afterwards. Two months after my surgery, I now have 20/20 vision! Having worn glasses since I was 10, I'm still getting used to not having them on, but it's great being able to wake up in the middle of the night and read the clock! Thank you to all the staff at AccuVision for their friendliness and professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of getting laser eye surgery.

Since having surgery, I have recommended it to everyone who wears glasses with no reservations. It is one of the best things I have done. My eyesight is now better that 20/20 with no after effects whatsoever. The professionals at Accuvision are attentive, helpful and extremely friendly. The whole procedure was simple and smooth, from initial consultation through to aftercare. I have utter confidence in them and would not hesitate to recommend them.

This was one of my better decisions. I have worn glasses since I was 9 - and Accuvue Daily contact lenses when I was older - and have considered laser eye correction for over a decade, but decided all those years ago that the technology was not yet mature enough. I started reconsidering in January this year and after a few weeks of research chose Accuvision in Fulham for an initial consultation. There was no hard sell at any stage, my questions were answered fully and I was just very impressed by the team there. On 18 April I had Wavefront Lasik on both eyes, with mono vision to correct for both reading and long distance sight. It cost £850 per eye - excellent value I think. I was careful to follow the instructions I was given and over the next few days my sight became as good as it was before I had the surgery, and over the past few weeks some slight residual haziness has cleared. I knew to expect the gradual improvement so there have been no unpleasant surprises at all - that is simply because the team at Accuvision told me what to expect. The only thing I took several weeks to get used to was lying down last thing at night and being able to see the ceiling clearly - I kept wanting to take my lenses out! The mono vision option might sound too good to be true. But it IS good, and it IS true! I suppose some people might find it difficult to get used to, but I was enthusiastic about it from the start and being able to read a menu in a dark restaurant and having excellent distance sight as well is incredible!! I am due to go back in a few days' time for my 6 week check-up. At my 10 day check-up my sight was verging on 20/20 so with the haziness gone I would expect to have 20/20 or better. The icing on the cake is that I have worked out the laser procedure will pay for itself in about 3 years - because those Accuvue lenses were a bit expensive. So, a big thank you to everyone at Accuvision in Fulham! I would certainly recommend them to anyone considering laser eye correction.
