1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
---|---|---|---|---|
LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

Can’t see my old review on here, but I had the treatment at Accuvision 9 years ago and still have 20/20 vision. Seriously worth doing. Don’t go for the cheapest option, you only have one pair of eyes. Save up and go for the best. Had friends finally have the operation, universal response is ‘should have done it years ago’. Huge amounts of both time and money saved since then in putting in/taking out and cleaning lenses, buying them, glasses, cleaning fluids, opticians appointments etc.

I had my laser eye surgery 5 weeks ago now and I cannot recommend both the treatment and this clinic enough. The staff were all encouraging, supportive and above all professional. My only regret is that I waited so long long to get this done. Thank you accuvision!!

I was anxious about laser eye surgery as I have heard some horror stories but liked the idea of a free consultation so I could make up my own mind. I did lots of research and initially only wanted to go to Moorfields but then I found Accuvision. Their results were excellent and they had consultants who also worked at Moorfields, plus they did a free consultation. I went along and asked lots of questions and had several tests done and all options were explained to me. My eye sight was not that bad, -3.5 in both eyes but I had a bumpy cornea so I opted for the Trans-epithelial LASIK which I was told was longer off work - 4 days, but less invasive and the better treatment for me. I booked in shortly afterwards and took Friday and Monday off work to recover. The Friday morning came quickly and I had after a few more tests I had the operation in under 10 minutes. It was painless and like watching a laser light show. Slightly uncomfortable and a bit odd having to look at all these lights but really nothing to worry about. I was picked up by my husband and taken home where I sat in a dark room with my sunglasses on all day. It was very painful for a few hours afterwards once the anesthetic had worn off but I was given more anesthetic drops to ease the pain which I decided not to take as I was told they slow the healing process. On reflection I should have taken some to ease my discomfort but that afternoon the pain was much less and by morning it was totally gone. I was sensitive to sunlight for a few days but that was all. My vision was instantly better on the Saturday and kept improving for 2 weeks. I went back 2 weeks later for my check up and eye test and was told my eyes still had some healing to do but currently my prescrition was 20:20 in one eye and better than 20:20 in the other. I have another appointment next week, 6 weeks on so I should hopefully be better than 20:20 in both eyes. Without doubt the best thing I have ever done for myself and I would not hesitate to recommend Accuvision to all my family and friends. Indeed a few members of my family are now considering when to have their eyes done. Sophie Curle

Four weeks on from my LASIK surgery and my eyesight is perfect with no noticeable side effects apart from occasional slight dryness when I'm tired. The team at the Fulham branch were all extremely friendly and reassuring, and I felt very well taken care of throughout the procedure. They were very open and honest about the risks, and didn't pressurise me in any way to make a decision. Havng been to other companies for consultations I felt that Accuvision gave the most even-handed view, which really helped me to feel comfortable with them. Overall I am delighted with the results and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Accuvision to anyone considering LASIK.

I had been considering laser eye surgery for almost a year before I got the courage to go through with it. I did a lot of research before deciding to go with Accuvision. All the reviews I had read were positive. So I booked a consultation at the Fulham branch. The staff were all very professional and explained everything clearly. I booked my surgery for 20th Feb 2009. My eyesight was about -5.5 in each eye and I had an astigmatism in my left eye. The procedure itself was quick and painless. I've had 3 post op check ups since the surgery and I'm next due to return in 4 months time. My eyesight is 20/20. I can't fault the staff at Accuvision for anything. They made the whole experience pleasant. Their after-care has been great. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends. Thank you Accuvision.

I have just had my second treatment of C3R for Keratoconus and have now had both eyes done. My first eye was treated in Nov 08 and at my last check up I managed to achieve 20:20 vision without correction, which is a fantastic result having had a -3.00 dioptre of astigmatism that the NHS told me there was nothing they could do about except prescribe glasses. I have found the whole team at the Birmingham Clinic extremely professional and any concerns I have had were put at ease at my initial consultation with Anthony. I was made to feel that my medical needs were paramount not the business objectives of Accuvision.

I have been short sighted since I was 14 (now 42). Had my initial consultation in February and Accuvision have not badgered me to get it done - they left me alone to consider my options. I finally went yesterday (30 April) to get them lasered - I was terrified. The team were brilliant, really reassuring and patient. There was genuinely no pain, during or after the treatment and today I can see as clearly as when I had my specs on - it's amazing. Can't recommend it enough.

Treatment: Wavefront LASIK Date of treatment: Feb 2008 During my 4 years of research I attended consultation sessions at all the advertised 'Eye Laser clinics' in London. None of them gave me the confidence to go for the treatment. One clinic told me that I need to decide on the kind of treatment I would like to have?! Another clinic asked for an approval letter from a Consultant?! One clinic provided the most daunting first consultation, it took several hours to complete and involved having to wait in different waiting rooms for long periods before each eye test. One Optician shouted at me for asking too many questions! I had given up hope until Accuvision was recommended to me by a colleague. From start to finish it has been an amazing experience. The staff and surgeons at Accuvision have been fantastic. They answered all my questions over & over again. The cost has been highly competitive. The treatment was painless and my recovery was very quick. The after care has been as thorough as the first consultation. Thank you Accuvision for making my life so much easier. I have recommended you to loads of people.

After months of research and pondering I decided to take treatment. Having been an optical express customer for the last five years, my first consultation was with them. They recommended that I am suitable for LASIK and was quoted £3000 for both eyes. My prescription was -3.75 and -4. I had read on their brochure that those that due contact sports or for armed forces that LASEK would be the preferred treatment due to the flap. I then sought a second opinion from accuvision who quoted me £1900 for LASEK due to my sporting preferences. I finally had a consultation with Optimax who recommended LASEK at a cost of £2400. I decided to opt for Accuvision as the reviews Id read were exceptional. My treatment was on March 14th and the procedure was painless, however the post 24 hours were excruciating. I decided not to use the anaesthetic drops as I was advised that usage would slow recovery process. My eyes healed very quickly but were not 20;20 immediately. I was prepared as I knew that it would take 3-5 days for the cornea to fully recover. Over the next week my eyesight began improving dramatically and now 6 weeks on is 20;20. The treatment and after-care at Accuvision was exceptional. Absolutely Fantastic. Any time I was concerned, I called the clinic and spoke to professionals who advised me accordingly. I would STRONGLY recommend this clinic to anyone wanting to undergo eye surgery. Adam 27/04/09
