I am very pleased with the treatment that I received from Mr Crewe-Brown and all the team at Bluewater. The results have been exactly as predicted and I now have excellent vision one month after the operation. It does seem to still be improving mainly with regard to night vision. I would recommend the operation to anyone, but be prepared for a certain amount of discomfort with the lasek treatment. I found that on the first day after the op. I was fighting the painkillers prescribed by not lying down and taking it easy in front of the television. Once I did this, as advised by the team, things did improve. I also found that watching the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice helped as I can't watch it without tears of laughter and sadness. It was a lachrymatory tonic for my predicament!

Having worn glasses for 40 years and now retired I felt it was time for me to treat myself with some personal pampering. The thought of pointing a laser at one eyes is a little daunting, however after reading all the litriture on the subject I desided to go ahead. My intitial consulutation took place in Optical Express's shop in Chelmsford. The consultation lasted well over an hour, the depth of examination along with simple explanation made me feel confident and willing to go ahead with the treatment. The treatment was carried in O E's place in Bluewater Shopping Mall, my Surgeon was Mr Wayne Crewe-Brown I under-went the Wavefront Intralase - Lasik (Primary - Bilateral). The actual treatment took approximately 4 minutes per eye, to be truthfull the only pain I experianced was when a suction device was pressed against the eye, this no more painfull than a slight jab of the thumb.Within a few minutes of the treatment my eye were checked under a microscope, given the all clear I was allowed to leave for home.To be honest, I did experiance some discomfort for the next five hours, it felt as though I had some grit or eye lash in the eye. Next morning my eyes felt quiet comfortable and attending the Chelmsford Shop for an examination I found my vision was better than 20/20. After a week of using the prescribe eye drops my eyes feel very good except they are little light sensitive, this I am told will settle down time.I would and have already recommended the proceedure to other peopleI would also like to add my appreciation to people in Chelmsford and Bluewater.Highly recommend. Many thanksNorman Young
