Bottom line top job, I could could go into detail but I no longer require glasses at all and although there are some side effects (explained prior to surgery) but my only regret is not to have had it done years ago, many thanks, Barry.

I had my surgery yesterday and today. Mr George is a wonderful surgeon. I was a very scared patient, but I needn’t have worried. All the staff are excellent and Matthew, anaesthetist made me feel very relaxed and calm. They are so thorough and I really appreciate the care they gave me. I am recovering very well and can already feel the benefit of sight just since yesterday. Thank you so much

I am so happy I put my trust into Mr Dimitri Kazakos he is amazing when you have a consultation with him, he is up front and honest about risks and glasses may still need to be worn in some cases. I had my lens replacement at the weekend and what can I say .. I am amazed that I can see so clear, even had to put my font on my phone to a size a lot smaller as it was too big!! I could just about see it before. The team at White City are all lovely I felt comfortable whilst there. But thank you Mr Dimitri Kazakos you are a truly wonderful surgeon whom I would recommend anyone to see and have the procedure done by. You gave me my sight back god bless you xx

The surgery received has changed my vision for the better, no more contact lens or glasses, except sun glasses.

My review as a timeline:
25th of February visited optical express in Uxbridge, overall the service was good and I was found suitable for laser treatment.
I wasn’t overly impressed with the service after as I had forgotten my information wallet at the clinic and despite several requests for it to be sent to me, I never got it. So I decided to go with Optimax.

Optimax gave me a good service too but there I was found not to be suitable for laser eye as I was diagnosed with Kerataconus….uhmmm this is worrying I thought as Optical express hadn’t picked this up and they had already scheduled my treatment with one of their surgeons for laser eye treatment.

Ok so where to go now? I decided to reach out to the head office at Optical Express only because I had read up on their most up to date technology and one particular surgeon who had some brilliant reviews (Dr Dimitry).

My Experience from here on was superb!
Lovely lady by the name of Donna at the head office helped me immensely even to the point that I was offered a little compensation for my inconvenience and experience at Uxbridge. The service was second to none.
All my appointments were organised timely, all information shared promptly by email and follow-up phone calls and finance set up so I didn’t have to worry about payment afterwards.

The Surgery
I was nervous like hell! but the team at Westfield were fantastic – I am so ashamed that I don’t remember the names of all them, Sonia, Dr Hurst and the lovely nurses on the day – the 12th and 13th of April 2017 were excellent.
They prepared my eyes and reassured me every step of the way.
Patients waiting at the surgery were brilliant too, sorry if I offended anyone while I remained sedated and on a high on the first day – that was funny. I think I called a few people pirates and one person seemed to have a parrot on his shoulder…anyway I was high that means the whole procedure was painless.
Credit to Dr Dimitry’s expertise and skills I could see the following day with my left eye and then with my right eye…and now with both eyes. Yet still a little sore.

Post operative
Again the team were brilliant and that very young looking opt…he was very patient and skilled too. Thank you very much.

Guess what back at Uxbridge for my follow up…
It was good to see a new team there and they were very helpful this time.

On with life….

I have always been heavily dependent upon glasses since as far back as I can remember. I needed glasses for everything except walking about because being long sighted I was confident I was unlikely to bump into anything. The extent to which I could read on the eye test board without glasses was the third line down ie three letters in a row.
Since having the surgery I am delighted to say I can read and drive without the need for glasses something I thought I would never be able to do. And, although my eyes are still settling after the operation I have nearly 20 /20 vision. The difference this has made to my life is immeasurable and it makes me wonder how I managed before.
I would thoroughly recommend Doctor Dimitri Kasakos because his skill and professionalism inspired me with the confidence to proceed with the operation which has changed my life for the better.

Dimitri kasakos is a excellent surgeon.who really cares about every patient that he operates on.I am a London Taxi Driver and needed treatment very quickly to be able to continue driving professionally. Dimitri managed to fit me in to his very busy schedule.I had done some research for the options that were available to me and had decided to go with the Monofocal lens because of the glare issue when driving at night,but when I saw him at my Pre Op Assessment ,he advised me that having the Symfony lens would achieve the best possible outcome.I have now had both eyes done and am very pleased with the results,my near vision is excellent and I am happy with my distance vision and the fact that I should no longer need glasses for either.

I had laser eye surgery 6 years ago, but had problems with intermittent blurred vision. I was advised by the optician that it was muscle related, and due to age. I initially had good distance vision after laser surgery, but still needed glasses for reading. Having been presented with options, I decided to go for replacement lenses and following the discussion with Mr Kazakos, I opted for multifocal lenses. Following surgery on the first eye, both distance and vision was 100%, however this deteriorated after having the second eye done. Over the next two months, vision was variable in both eyes and I was prescribed moisturising drops, which improved my vision considerably. Now, 3 months after the first eye surgery, I have better than 20/20 vision in both eyes, as confirmed at my check up yesterday. Although I was told that my distance vision would not be as good with multifocal lenses, I consider it to be excellent. I highly recommend this procedure.

I have recently gone through lens replacement surgery at Optical Express in Westfield Shopping Centre, Shepherds Bush, London.
Up until the time of surgery I had been wearing both glasses and contact lenses but had reached a point where glasses were only good for distance and had to be removed for close vision. With contact lenses, I wore a lens in one eye for distance and nothing in the other eye for close vision and this was beginning to cause irritation as neither distance or close vision were ever particularly clear at any time.
I decided to contact Optical Express and booked a consultation to see if lens replacement surgery would be a good solution for me. From the very first contact with Optical Express, they have been thoroughly professional, efficient and friendly throughout the process. From the moment I met the surgeon Dr Dimitri Kazakos, I knew I was in good hands. His calm, thorough and professional approach and his extensive knowledge and experience in this field put me at ease straight away.
The surgery itself was very straightforward, painless and quick. Sentiments echoed by the other patients I met over the two days.
The results are fantastic. I have just had my one week post-op check-up and have better than 20/20 vision in both eyes. I opted for the Tecnis multifocal 70/30 lens (as advised by Dimitri) and could not be happier. I see good distance and can read small print without any assistance from glasses or contact lenses.
I am absolutely delighted with the outcome and have no hesitation in recommending Optical Express as your eye care specialist. Dimitri Kazakos and the team at Optical Express Westfield Shopping Centre are first class, as are the team at their Shaftesbury Avenue centre where I had the initial consultation and subsequent post-op check-ups.

I completed natural lens replacement in both eyes last week by Dimitri Kazakos and am very happy with the outcome. I think my concerns would be common; will it hurt and will it work? I am pleased to reassuringly report that it has worked and there was zero discomfort.
Dimitri has a reassuring presence earned from confidence and experience and this is authentic in his tone, language and manner; promising nothing but reassuring of the likely outcome.
I had an issue with one of the anaesthetic drops and observing how competent and professional the anaesthetist behaved and then used as a teaching moment to the support team was very comforting.
I drove for 15 hours, mostly at night 2 days after the surgery and was neither tired nor strained, which is an impressive testament to speed of the recovery – indeed I had a business meeting the evening between surgeries and was fine with that also.
I had very strong near vision but needed lenses or glasses for distance and low level light environment; especially for golf and night driving. I am most pleased that I have fully retained short range quality and can now drive safely and read announcements at train stations at long range.
my weak eye had a 70/30 replacement and my dominant eye had an 80/20 to enhance longer range vision. At this stage, I don’t have the marginal improvement and this may be tweaked but the combined effect is extremely efficient.
There is a large organisation feeding into the Westfield centre of operations and some of the process and logistics regarding scheduling has been annoying but the reason for enquiring was to improve my eyesight and that has been highly successful and utterly free of discomfort and side effects.
