I had my consultation in Inverness but I had to travel to Glasgow for the treatment as I wanted to have the Intralase and Inverness didn’t have the machine at the time. My daughter was treated first and this prompted me to follow a few months later! Its wonderful to be able to go swimming and to actually recognise people in the pool! after having my consultation which i found to be brilliant help in making my mind up about going for surgery,i didnt hesitate to book in for it.understandably i felt nervous about the actual day of my procedure,but the professional and friendly staff helped to ease my nerves,especially the manager sarah and the “hand holder/laser counsellor” fiona but also each member of staff too,they were all so nice and welcoming that i felt the customer service alone was worth the money!!during the surgery i was talked through exactly what was happening,and its true what they say,its not painful just uncomfortable,but if its discomfort in exchange for perfect vision then i can deal with that.susanna boytha my surgeon was so brilliant too.not only to look at 😉 but professionally also.so anyone considering to get the procedure then dont hesitate just GO FOR IT!!! well worth it! no more glasses for me then!!!!

I had lasek eye surgery on both eyes in march 08 and it was honestly the best thing ive ever done. Ther surgery was painfree and very quick (about 5minutes) which I was surprised at. I had the surgery on the Monday morning and by the friday I was back driving with superb 20/20 vision. I had the surgery at the cardiff branch and I must say all the staff were fantastic and very reassuring especially if your a litttle nervous like I was. I would deffiniely reccomend the procedure to anyone who is thinking about it. I was very scared at first but I must say I am so happy know that I had it done and dont know what I was worried for. If anyone wants to ask me any questions feel free my email is leanne2389@hotmail.co.uk and I will give you honest answers because I know how much I wanted to speak to someone whos had it done before I went. I had surgery today at Birmingham. AMAZING! i was terrified before i went in, i so nearly backed out just before but then the nurse called me in! I have to say, the creation of the flap isnt pleasent! but the rest was fine 🙂 im so pleased with the results! Dr George was lovely, he was so kind and treated me like an individual, and although i kept flinching he was very patient with me and talked me through everything 🙂
