1. Review of Centre for Sight Clinic
Centre for Sight is a long-standing and renowned eye surgery clinic, with three practices in London, Surrey and West Sussex. Its leading consultant eye surgeon, Mr Sheraz Daya, founded the clinic way back in 1996 with a clear mission: provide exemplary eye care to patients in facilities that are purpose-built with their needs in mind.
What makes Centre for Sight different? Centre for Sight is based on Mr Daya’s vision that better surroundings can provide a higher standard of care. Today patients get to enjoy a spa-like or luxury hotel experience, rather than the dread of most hospital surgeries.
Is there anything else I should know? As you’d expect then, this clinic also comes with the price tag that accompanies a five-star experience. Yes, the facilities are kitted out with high-end diagnostic tech and quality lenses, backed up by a team of highly trained staff. But you leave all the fancy atmosphere behind the moment you step outside the clinic, and it won’t be a priority for everyone.

On average, 723 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid between £2,400 and £3,615 per eye for laser eye and lens replacement surgery at Centre for Sight since 2002. These costs are slightly above the average price range of £1,789 and £3,152 – high street clinics such as Optical Express and Ultralase were the cheapest places we found.
Here are the fixed costs of eye surgery at Centre for Sight:
- Laser eye surgery cost: £2,300 per eye (from £77 per month)
- IntraLASIK Supracor cost: £2,575 per eye (from £86 per month)

Centre for Sight also provides interest free pay monthly finance options over a generous 24 months – with some clinics, you’ll be paying 11% APR after the first year. As with most clinics, there’s a deposit of £500 to secure the surgery, but this cost comes off the total cost.

I have been to Centre For Sight today and have been told I am unable to have Laser surgery due to extremely thin corneas. I am now considering ICL implants and would greatly appreciate anyone contacting me with their experiences of this procedure. Thank you.

I had Tissue Saving IntraLasik in September 2004, and it was the best thing I ever did. Mr Daya and his team were superb in every respect, at every point, and the operation itself, although uncomfortable, was not actually 'painful' and within hours of being home, I knew that it was the best thing I had ever done. Within 24 hours I was classed as having 'better than perfect vision' (my short-sightedness was pretty bad - minus 7 in the left eye and minus 8.5 in the right)and I haven't had any problems whatsoever since. I went back 2 or 3 times to have my eyes checked and everything was always just as it should be. 16 months later and my only regret was that I didn't have it done earlier. Truly the best thing I have ever done in my life - no regrets at all! Mr Daya and his team are amazing, and I feel like shouting it from the rooftops to anyone thinking about having it done!!

The whole staff of Centre for Sight at East Grinstead treated me with extreme care; from the testing process to see whether I was a candidate for the procedure, through the lasik procedure and post procedure the whole process was painless and I was kept upto speed through all the phases and I cannot but praise all the staff, administrative, medical and last but not least, my surgeon, Mr S Daya who has given me perfect eye-sight. Thank you.

Thanks to the entire team - this rapid and effective procedure has greatly improved my daily life. My now almost continuous smile is testimony to the results. Many thanks and kind regards, Ian.

Without exception every person that I came into contact with at Centre for Sight provided excellent customer service skills. Friendly and confident staff made the experience particularly on the day of surgery a pleasant one. It was interesting hearing other patients experience whilst waiting in the recovery room with eyes shut. "Reassuring" is perhaps a word that I could use, that others were feeling & experiencing similar symptoms as myself. I woke up this morning and could see my childrens eye without grabbing for my glasses - yipee!!

After 3 weeks thinking about it, finally had treatment 4 weeks ago. Chose Centre for Sight as it was recommended by other eye specialists. Information given was clear and informative and the surgeon, Mr Giledi, and staff were very encouraging at all times. Surgical procedure was quick and painless (a bit like watching a light show). The support and aftercare is great and my vision is better than 20/20 at 4 weeks. Now I can carry on with my sport and day-to-day activities without restriction.

Centre for Sight looked after me so well - as someone who was very nervous before, I felt very calm after my first visit and during the IntraLASIK day. Thank you. And I can see!

Thanks to Centre for Sight I now have better than 20/20 vision. More than I ever hoped for. The results are dramatic and life changing. As a serving frontline police officer this procedure has widened my career options.I would recommend this to anyone.
