2. Treatments
Advanced Vision Care specialises in laser as well as non-laser vision correction treatments, including all the usual suspects: LASIK, LASEK, implantable contact lenses (ICL surgery), lens replacement surgery, cataract surgery and keratoconus treatment.
- Advanced Wavefront LASIK / LASEK – Highly accurate laser surgery for those with thin eye surfaces or active lifestyles.
- Phototherapeutic Keratectomy (PTK) – Therapy for treating long-term eye conditions.
- Implantable Contact Lens (EVO Visian ICL) – Suitable for patients with complex eye prescriptions, thin corneas or dry eyes.
- Lens Replacement (Refractive Lens Exchange) – Eye surgery for those over 40 with a reading prescription.
- Cataract Surgery – Removes cloudy lenses, and replaces them with artificial clear ones.
- Corneal Implants – Reshape irregular eye shapes to make contact lenses more comfortable.
As is standard with eye surgery clinics, all AVC treatments come with a 12 month aftercare package, which includes: regular check-ups, 24-hour eye expert support line, and post-op medication for the first month.
In the unlikely event that you require eye surgery enhancement, any laser fine tuning or YAG laser capsule thickening removal (following cataract treatment) is available at no extra cost.
3. Technology
Advanced Vision Care was the first clinic in the UK to house the complete Alcon Refractive Suite, which it claims is the safest non-laser technology in the country. It creates a personalised treatment plan that starts with a Verion Image Guided system in your first consultation, and continues throughout the surgery with devices that ensure superior visualisation.
The laser eye surgery treatment is also advanced. The femtosecond Intralase 5F Laser works blade-free by using pulses of harmless light to create a corneal flap, and the Bausch Teneo 317 Excimer Laser takes just 3 to 5 seconds to correct your vision.
What’s more, the highly accurate Advanced Wavefront technology is included in all laser treatments as standard, and an Eye Tracking System tracks eye movements, so you don’t need to worry about blinking during the procedure.
4. Advanced Vision Care Prices
AVC has some of the most reasonable payment options out there. It’s not the cheapest – high street clinics such as Optical Express and Ultralase take the crown for cost – but the free consultation, fixed prices, and flexible interest free finances all help their treatments work around you.

Are there finance options?
Yes, AVC has partnered with Hitachi Finance to offer flexible payment plans, meaning you can pay the full cost of eye surgery in bite-size monthly installments.
For example, you could pay for laser eye surgery in chunks of £66.67 a month for two years interest free, or £33.59 for 60 months at 9.9% APR. That’s generous – most clinics require 11% APR, and only the first year at 0% interest.

After using the lasik-eyes website I contacted Advance Vision Care. They were helpful, friendly and informative from there on in! I had to change appointments a couple of times, but that was no problem. On the day of surgery they put me at ease, and informed me at every stage. The surgery was pain free, quick and so much better than I was expecting. I didn’t even need a paracetamol! I could see almost immediately, and it’s been great ever since. The after care service is faultless too-I couldn’t recommend Advance Vision Care highly enough.

This should of been the most tense experience of my life but thanks to the amazing team at Advance Visioncare I can honestly say that I was happy & relaxed from the moment I arrived & the time I Left. After my consultation It was found that my eyes would be more suited to LASEK instead of LASIK. A further hour or so was explaining this process from everey angle until I was completely happy & come the day of the procedure I knew exactly what was going on at all times. I still cannot believe how painless and trauma-free the procedure was, which I am sure is one of the biggest worries for everybody when deciding to have laser eye treatment. The treatment did include some slihghtly strange sensations but at all timnes somebody would be telling me exactly what was happening and what was about to happen next me. The procedure didn't seem to be taken very long at all which was probaly due to how much I was concentrating on what was going on around me but laso beacuse I was constantly re-assured so at no point felt alone. When the treament was finished the aftercare process was exsplained to me, then after taking a while to adjust I left the clinic to start what has been so far been a much better life. I would also like to say how impresed I was with the follow up appoitments I have at Eyesite Reading, it was clear to see what AVC entrusts them with aftercare for those of us who live outisde of London. Choosing to have laser eye treatment is a big decision and I reserached many clinics and surgeons before making my choice. All of my investigations led to AVC & I am so glad it did. It has been nearly two months since my laser treatment and yet still every morning when I get up, I am amazed that I can see! It is such a quick and painless procedure. I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to have it done. Mr Pillai was so reassuringly calm from the first time I met him. He just put me at ease throughout my time at the clinic. He is a genius! I am getting married in Jamaica in October and for the first time I’ll be able to go swimming in the sea and not worry about getting my contact lenses wet!

Although only 1 month post op, I have 20/20 distance vision and my short vision is now approaching pre-op levels.
