1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
---|---|---|---|---|
LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

Can’t see my old review on here, but I had the treatment at Accuvision 9 years ago and still have 20/20 vision. Seriously worth doing. Don’t go for the cheapest option, you only have one pair of eyes. Save up and go for the best. Had friends finally have the operation, universal response is ‘should have done it years ago’. Huge amounts of both time and money saved since then in putting in/taking out and cleaning lenses, buying them, glasses, cleaning fluids, opticians appointments etc.

Generally the cost seems to be around £3,600 for both eyes. But I think it varies depending on your vision. You pay more, but you definitely get the best treatment - after all it is your eyes! Go and see them at the clinic and have a consultation - you will know if it is the place as soon as you walk through the door and meet the people. Good Luck

I had my surgery on the 4th December. After a friend recommended Accuvision to me. With ultra sensitive eyes - (never could wear contact lenses) I thought I might be a problem, but I had absolute confidence in everybody there. I had roughly +3.50 in each eye, an astigmatism & very large pupils. I now have 20/20 vision. The operation itself was not the most pleasant of things to have done - but not painful, but well worth it for the results you get. I had the op in the morning and kept my eyes closed all the rest of the day, as they felt gritty. The next day I woke up & could actually see without my glasses -wow- eyes were a little sore. I think it was about a week before I was comfortable with the feel of my eyes, before the grittiness went. Unfortunately I did get bad bruising from the surgery in my eyes which involved the whites of the eyes going bloodshot - this is probably why the eyes have troubled me longer than they seem to have for most other people. But the redness is nearly all gone now, and the vision I think is still improving. I would definitely recommend this treatment to anybody and choose Accuvision - they are definitely the best.

what can I say? its truly is a miracle!!!! I've had bad eyesight for as long as I can remember. I never really thought id be able to see things so clearly without the aid of glasses or contact lenses ever again.......then I heard about the LASIK treatment and although I was a bit apprehensive at first, decided to go ahead with the treatment and it has been the best thing I have ever spent money on. I had the treatment done in August at about five in the evening. was no pain at all.....couldn't believe it!!!!! I was in and out of the operating theatre in about fifteen minutes tops. by 8 o'clock that same evening I was watching who wants to be a millionaire with no difficulties in reading the questions on the screen. Unbelievable - but true. waking up the next morning was even more amazing. for the past god knows how many years the first thing I had to do in the morning was put my glasses on. but not any more!!!!! I was able to open my eyes and see everything - I never thought I would ever be able to do that again. it has been just over four months since I had the treatment and apart from a few problems with dry eye (which has now been resolved) I have had no trouble with my vision. I recommend this treatment to anyone who is thinking about having it done. Accuvision is a wonderful place with a calming atmosphere and great staff who are always at hand and looking after you. thank you once again to all the staff for giving me back my vision. it truly is a miracle.

I had my surgery on Friday, 6 December. I had been refused last year by Boots Clinic but after hearing about Accuvision, I decided to give it one more go. I was so convinced they would say no, that had only told a couple of people that I was going. All of the staff at the clinic made me feel so at ease. I was told that I had a high prescription, astigmatism and large pupils!! Nothing new there apart from the pupils bit. Just the challenge the surgeon was looking for. They were convinced they could significantly improve my vision. That was it - I entrusted my eyesight to these people that I had only just met. And I had to pay for it. And it is worth every penny. The flap on the left eye dried very quickly and I needed a contact lens on overnight. That was removed the day after. I was very apprehensive for the first 24 hours with the 'expected' fluctuations in sight but after 6pm on Saturday the vision just cleared. The night vision took about a week to settle and each day there was significant improvement. The 10-day check up went very well with 20/20 in both eyes. I can see better than I ever could with glasses and I am so grateful to the team at Accuvision. What a fantastic Christmas present! I want to say a special thank you to Nick for keeping an eye on my Mum who watched the whole thing! THANK YOU

I month update: Most of the fluctuation has died down now, except for some small near vision changes. It also takes a little while in the morning for full clarity to appear. Overall I am very happy. My eyes are comfortable and my sight is pretty much sorted for most things. I do find that for small letters in low light I cannot read things I used to be able to. For example, I now need a torch to read the central heating control panel in the boiler cupboard. But things are still improving and could do so for a few months. While LASIK is obviously quicker to give results that PRK, it is important to realize that things will vary for at least a month, otherwise you might be disappointed/worried early on. I was very nervous when after a couple of days of excellent vision immediately after the op, things went quite blurry for a few days on days 4 and on. Night flares are no problem, although noticeable if I look for them. I no longer need the eye drops more than once every few days. All in all, a good thing.

The thanks first! I really don't know how to say 'thanks' in a way that's big enough! Thanks to this website for me finding Accuvision in Fulham...I'm grateful for being able to see again after the agony of the last 11 months....the birds, the stars that are points of light and not blurs..... To be able to drive at night... I'm grateful to the fact that there is technology available to treat eyes that were as messed up as mine and for the fact that I decided to trust Accuvision and their team when I was at an all time visual low and that there was a clinic who understood what a patient feels ...... for everything! Daryus, thank you for taking the time and having the patience to gain my confidence and explaining in minute details what the reasons for my previous surgery going so wrong were and what could be done to improve the quality of my vision and not assuming that as a lay person I would not understand.... without that I may not have proceeded a second time around. For people out there who put a price on getting their eyes treated, a message.... Statistics are not a substitute for judgement and inevitably when YOU are part of the minute statistic of things going wrong in a surgical procedure, who you have trusted with your eyes makes all the difference.

I had my laser treatment 16th October 2002 and haven't stopped smiling since. I had very short sight and high astigmatism (-9.00sph, +4.00cyl axis 75 and -10.50 sph + 5.25 cyl axis 90. I had booked for treatment at Moorefield's but had reservations about how effective their laser equipment would be on my high prescription so, after further research I contacted Accuvision because I had read about their advanced equipment incorporating Wavefront technology. During the free and lengthy assessment Darius became involved, instilling total confidence, which convinced me he could correct my sight, and that his was the clinic to use. I had no hesitancy cancelling with Moorefield's and trusting my eyes to Accuvision, who clearly demonstrated they have the equipment and expertise necessary for the treatment on my challenging prescription. I would highly recommend them, especially if you have a difficult prescription, coupled with thin corneas, large pupils and dry eye syndrome! Everything against me, but they still managed to correct my sight. The entire team are kind, friendly and helpful, and the post op care is superb. Viv Ashton

I had my LASIK at Accuvision on 4th December. I was around a +3.75, +3.75 prescription in both eyes, i.e. quite longsighted with what the surgeon described as a 'wow, monster stigmatism'. Accuvision were more expensive than the other company (Ultralase) who said they could treat me, but seemed more confident and professional, so I went with them. The surgery was very quick and painless, and I didn't really suffer much discomfort afterwards either. I spent the whole afternoon in bed with my eyes closed. 45 minutes after the treatment, I was up to driving test standards, and the next day I was nearly 20/20. Since then, my right eye has fluctuated quite a lot, which has worried me, but Vic assured me that this was quite normal for the first week or two. In fact, when I went in for an unscheduled appointment as I was a bit worried, my right eye still tested only one line short of 20/20. The flares at night are still pretty big, but manageable, and should die down over the next few weeks. I will post another message in a couple of weeks to give a progress report. All in all, I am very happy with the result so far. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. I would recommend Accuvision strongly. On a related note, I encourage anyone who has had surgery to post on this site as it was very important to me in the run up to my surgery to see the updates that people left.

I had the operation at Accuvision on Friday. The reasons I chose Accuvision were the consistently positive comments here and the fact that I have poor night vision with a lot of glare and starbursts. Or rather had. :-) The result of the operation is that I have perfect daytime vision and my night time vision has improved too. I drove yesterday evening and although I have some halo-effects around lights, they are much easier to deal with than the starbursts I used to have. But I almost didn't go through with the surgery. Lying on the operating table with the clip in my right eye, I freaked out. The combination of watching somebody have the operation from the waiting room before being prepped for my own operation and a comment made in the operating room that triggered previous trauma memories, made me very, very scared. Luckily I was able to calm myself down with the help of the nurse and Darius. If they hadn't been so supportive I wouldn't have been able to go through with the operation. I'm very glad I did. Being able to see first thing in the morning is an incredible blessing. Not to mention having peripheral vision. With my -6D I could really only see straight ahead with glasses.

Having worn glasses/lenses for 12 years and being a Mother of two under two's I decided it was time and had Wavefront treatment on both eyes (L-3.75 R -4.0 with astigmatism) on Friday 30th November. For two hours following surgery my eyes felt gritty and watered but after that I was able to watch television and eat without assistance - admittedly the room was dark and I was wearing sunglasses! The following morning at my check up I was 20:20 and a week later was better than 20:20 - FANTASTIC. It's now ten days after surgery and apart from experiencing a little halo around bright lights there's nothing to report. Had I not had absolute confidence in Daryus, his team and their technology I would still be wearing glasses/lenses which, to be honest, I've almost forgotten about already. Corny as it sounds this really has changed my life ... THANK YOU.
