1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
---|---|---|---|---|
LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

Can’t see my old review on here, but I had the treatment at Accuvision 9 years ago and still have 20/20 vision. Seriously worth doing. Don’t go for the cheapest option, you only have one pair of eyes. Save up and go for the best. Had friends finally have the operation, universal response is ‘should have done it years ago’. Huge amounts of both time and money saved since then in putting in/taking out and cleaning lenses, buying them, glasses, cleaning fluids, opticians appointments etc.

I had my lasik eye surgery on the 13th April. The whole procedure from my consulatation with Vik to the surgery by Mr Pandit was excellant. I have had no problems with dry eyes/sore eyes at all. The procedure was quick and TOTALLY painless. I had 20/20 vision after 1 day with no problems at all.

I had my surgery on 7th April 2005. I still wake up and can't believe that I dont need glasses or contacts. The whole Accuvision experience was absolutely first class from the initial consultation through to the response I got when I phoned the help line at 7.30am on a Sunday morning to ask a simple question after the surgery. I would recommend the treatment and Accuvision to anyone who wishes for an optical aid free zone!

It came down to 2 clinics - Accuvision and Ultralase. Both offered same price, but Accuvision had the edge on customer service and convinced me that their procedure was more up to date. I have no regrets and almost 3 weeks after surgery all is well, but for a little dry eye and some bruising of the eye ball above the eye lid. I have 20/20 vision for the first time in my life and it's amazing. I would definately recommend getting Wavefront Lasik and Accuvision surpassed themselves in customer service.

I contacted a number of clinics regarding laser surgery and this was the only one with the expertise to handle such a complex prescription. After 2 years of deliberation, I finally decided to take the plunge. The whole experience was fantastic. The staff were friendly, reassuring and extremely professional. The procedure itself was quick and completely pain free!. For the first time in my life I no longer need to wear glasses. I am delighted with the result and couldn't recommend this clinic enough to anyone. My only regret is not having it done sooner !

After an awful experience with another Company - I found AccuVision very honest, open & efficient about every issue of the treatment from the start. From the 1st telephone enquiry to the actual procedure (2 days later) all the staff that I came in to contact with were always very polite and helpful. Would recommend them to anyone.

After researching for two years - finally had the procedure done 24/2/05. I went to Accuvision because of all the clinics I visited - they seemed the most knowledgeable and had the best laser for my eyes. My eyes were not terrible, but I was tired of contacts for sports and outdoor activities (3.75 in each eye with moderate astigmatism, 5.00 at night due to larger than average pupils). End result - I've got 20/20. My advice: * Do your research - ask lots of questions. Find the best clinic at the right price for your eye sight. I'm not sure that a more expensive clinic equals better vision. The laser does most of the work. However, if go too cheap, don't be surprised if things are less than professional. * The procedure doesn't hurt - but it's a very bizarre, surreal experience. Don't under-estimate the discomfort the first night. (Imagine dirt under your contact lenses - it's about the same feeling for a few hours) * Be patient, my eyes had slight fluctuations for the first 1-4 weeks until they settled down. It was hard to stay optimistic about the results with my eyes changing all the time. However things are looking good now.

I was first introduced to Accuvision in autumn last year when I was at my local Opticians for a routine two year check up. I was discussing my poor eyesight with my Optician and I said that I had considered laser eye surgery but had been told when I had made enquiries with a laser eye company that they did not accept anyone with a prescription of 5.00+ and over. The laser eye company I had made enquiries with said that they had not had good results in the past with higher plus lens prescriptions and so were not taking anyone with that sort of prescription any more. I had also e-mailed another eye laser company and sent my details and they had told me that I was border-line. My Optician said that they were involved with an eye laser company called Accuvision and did I want them to have a look at my eyes and see if I was suitable for laser surgery. I agreed to this but didn’t really expect to be found suitable. I went for the assessment. Carol did the assessment on behalf of Accuvision. She was very thorough and easy to talk to. She said that I was suitable and told me quite a lot about the procedure etc. She did not put me under any pressure to make a decision there and then and told me to go away and think about it. It took me about six weeks to make up my mind completely. During this time I had e-mailed Accuvision with some queries and I had gone back to see Carol to discuss some points, which I wasn’t too sure of. I also kept looking at the comments of people who had previously had surgery, on Accuvision’s web site (hence my contribution). I had the surgery on the 6th December last year. It really didn’t hurt! The Accuvision team are very friendly and understand just how apprehensive you are. I had a very lovely nurse who held my hand (I’m surprised I didn’t break her fingers I was so frightened) through the whole procedure. After the surgery my eyes just felt really heavy and felt a lot more comfortable when they were shut. After about 30 minutes my surgeon, Mr Chad Rostron, looked at them again to make sure everything was okay and I was told to keep them closed as much as possible and to go to the nearby hotel which I had booked for an overnight stay and have a sleep, which I did. I kept wondering when the pain would start but to my delight it never did. I felt well enough after a little sleep to have a meal. The discomfort I had wasn’t even bad enough for me to have to take any painkillers. The next day I was able to see a lot more clearly although my vision was still very blurred but I wasn’t too concerned as this was what I had been told to expect. I wasn’t feeling any discomfort from the surgery at all. I went back to the clinic for an eye examination and was told that everything was going perfectly. It took quite a few weeks for my vision to settle down completely. I have recently had a routine check up, carried out at my local Opticians, with Carol and Nick, from Accuvision. Before the surgery my eyesight prescription was 5.00+ for my right eye and 5.25+ for my left eye for distance and another 1.75+ on top of my distance prescription for close work (with astigmatism). I currently do not need glasses at all for distance vision and for computer work 1.50+ and 2.00+ for close work and reading. I was told from the outset that because of my age (56) I would still need glasses for close work. What I didn’t realise was that the lens prescription would only be a fraction of what it was before surgery. I am delighted with the results of my surgery. It is great to wake up in the morning and not have to fumble around trying to think where you left your glasses the night before. I was totally dependent on wearing glasses and all the hassle that comes with that - but not any more! I would like to say a big thanks to the whole Accuvision team. Denise Wellock 5/5

Having thought about LASIK eye surgery for the last few years I decided to find out my suitability and book a consultation. I went to one other clinic first before my friend recommended ACCUVISION where he had his eyes done 18 months earlier and his cousin had her eyes done 12 months before that. The consultation was very thorough and all my questions were answered. I was suitable so I decided to go ahead. On the day they redone some of the tests and then I was taken in to meet the surgeon. He done some further tests and answered more of my questions. Twenty minutes later I was taken in for my surgery. The surgery team were friendly, efficient and confident which was reassuring. The whole procedure was over very quickly. Immediately I could see an improvement. The first day I was told to keep my eyes shut as much as possible to aid the healing process. As the day progressed I could see my vision improving all the time. I woke up the next morning and my vision was great. I went for my check up consultation and when they checked my eyes my vision was 20/20.I would now say that my vision is better than when I wore glasses and I still can't get over the fact that I don't need to put on my glasses or my contact lenses in to get great vision. Also would like to add that the whole staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had surgery on 1st July 2004, and now 8 months later I have been discharged from Accuvision with better than 20/20 sight in both eyes :-) It's an incredible result and I will be forever grateful to all the staff for their skill and kindness. I have made a 'lasik diary' of my experience which you can find here: http://www.nurseowens.clara.net/lasik_diary.htm I hope anyone who is considering surgery with Accuvision will find it useful.

I have worn glasses since the age of 3 and soft contact lenses from the age of 16. With a prescription of +7.5 with a severe astigmatism in both eyes, I assumed that I was destined to wear my glasses and lenses for life. This appeared to be compounded by a condition called Pigmentation Dispersion Syndrome, which is apparently very rare in long sighted people. When I was told last authumn that I may no longer be able to wear soft lenses due to a growth of blood vessels in my right eye, I was devastated. I contacted a number of clinics to enquire about laser surgery and was told by all of them that my prescription was way outside the range for treatment. Then, purely by chance, I came across an advert for Accuvision and was encourgaed to find that they were willing to see me for a consultation. Within a few weeks, I received an extremely comprehensive consultation which dealt with every aspect of the surgery and possible related risks in the most informative and empathetic way. The staff at the clinic were the friendliest and most helpful professionals I have ever encountered in the 32 years that I have been receiving treatment for my sight defects and I was dumbfounded to be told that they could help me. A week later, following a short and painless procedure, I was able to see almost perfectly without the use of glasses or lenses. Now 3 months after the surgery, I am delighted to report that I have better than 20/20 vision in my right eye with no astigmatism and my left eye is -0.5 with no astigmatism. I no longer need to wear glasses or lenses for anything and its all thanks to Accuvision. Yes, it may cost you a little more but never underestimate the value of your sight - these people are true professionals, not GPs trained in laser surgery as found in some clinics and they have access to the most state of the art technology that they have been involved in developing. No other clinic can compare, so save yourself the time and effort and go straight to the professionals. I would recommed this clinic to ANYONE.
