1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
---|---|---|---|---|
LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

The staff at ACCUVISION truely are miracle workers, I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment I arrived in the clinic, the customer care was excellent. The prep work was conducted thoroughly and every single step was explained clearly in plain English. (Great job Vik!) For what must have been the most worrying moments of my life so far, the surgery turned out to be a near to painless, 10 minute miracle!! (I'm eternally greatful Mr Rostron) Don't expect to be zapped and to be able to drive home right away but within 24 hours, my slight itchyness had disappeared and I still can't quite believe that I dont need contact lenses/glasses any more!! Once again - THANK YOU ACCUVISION - Your company rates 20/20, as now does my vision!! Stuart Bottomley

I am considering having laser eye surgery and need some advise. I live in the Yorkshire area and so contacted Ultralase in Leeds. What I cant understand is the price difference quoted for Wavefront surgery. £699 here and almost £1500 with Ultralase. This seems such a huge difference in price for what I assume is the same service. Any comments please. Also, can folks say the 'type' of surgery they have had. ie; Lasek, Lasik, Wavefront etc. And has anyone had surgery in Leeds and by what surgeon. I am trying to work through the confusion here and would genuinely appreciate an comments. Paul.........

Question to Sarah Whittall - could you tell me which surgeon treated you.
Sarah Whittall
Just thought I would give you a little update as to my previous opticians response to my eyes. He said it is the best "job" he has seen in many years, he checked the blood pressure in my eyes said it is completely normal, I had an eye examination and he said that my vision was 6/6 which is the british equavalent to the american 20/20, he said that I am a little long sighted, but not even enough to put a prescription to, and he also said that would probably correct itself. He also checked in the "contact lens" room the cornea and said that he could not even see where the flap had been cut. So all in all, absolutely fantastic, he said that the headaches were most likely due to the brain adjustment and nothing else. So he said he would like to see me in one year just to see if they have improved any further. He asked me which clinic i went to and i told him, he said that if any of his clients asked for a recommendation, that he would recommend them, not bad ay!

Just wanted to let everyone that read my previous posting, that the headaches are much better now, just as Accuvision predicted, two weeks and its all over, these people really know what they are talking about, thanks again to them.

I had Lasik surgery on 13th June and although I am extremely pleased with the results, I am suffering from very extreme headaches, which seem to last for days at a time, just wondered if anyone else had experienced this, and how long they are expected to last. Thank you.

Has anyone had treatment at the Birmingham clinic of Accuvision? Are the surgeons there from the London clinic?
Jinny
Hi my name is Jinny and I had my eyes done at accuvision 24th April..........I was + 3.00 left with astigmatism and +2.5 right................I am very pleased with my eyes. My 2 sisters who are older then my (I am 50) had an even higher plus script and they are also really pleased with their eyes. I hope this helps you. Anyway the consultation is free and the best eye health check you can get. I was told by Mr Halliday that my scans show that behind my eyes are very narrow and this is an indication that along with my long sightedness I could develop glaucoma at some point. So now they have this info they will keep an extra check on me from now on. So not only have I got great vision now I know that my future vision is in very safe hands.........Email me if you want to kind regards Jinny.

A valuable site, but the reviews do not often state their prescription. It seems that very few +3.5 or even + any degree are commnented on. Is this due to the lack of sucess in this range?
Sarah Whittall
Ok, lets try again...... All done now and absoluteley amazing, had the surgery last Tuesday, and can not beleive how painless it was, ok a little unpleasant but nothing to worry about at all, for a couple of days before all sorts of thing were going though my mind, I actually thought about cancelling and going back to contact lenses, thank god I didnt. On the day I was shaking from head to toe and all the staff were so fantastic in reassuring me, they said that they love to see people like me because I was -7.00 in both eyes, the results are so amazingly different. The surgery from start to finish took about 8 minutes, and I could see better after than before. I went home that night and sat with my eyes closed for the evening (although I kept peeking), my husband said its like having a porsche sat on the drive but not being able to drive it!, football was on tv and I kept peeking, it was amazing I could see the names on the shirts. Well now perfect, almost 20:20 on next days check up and going back again on Wednesday, but for anyone in two minds just go for it, it is absolutely fantastic, I just keep chuckling to myself, people think i'm mad. Thanks very much to all the staff at Accuvision, they have changed my life so much, they asked me to trust them with my eyes, and I am so glad I did, words cannot possible explain how greatful I am.
