1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
---|---|---|---|---|
LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

I had my surgery on 27th October at about 4pm. My initial consultation had been held in Fulham some 6 weeks earlier. The consultation was fantastic and very professional and caring. At no time during the following 6 weeks was i put under any pressure to go ahead with the surgery. i chose to have the surgery on the Monday afternoon and stay overnight in a nearby B&B, returning to Accuvision on the Tuesday morning for a check up. I have to admit the surgery was a little more uncomfortable than i was expecting, but still better than going to the dentist!!!! Post surgery i felt far less discomfort than i was expecting. I walked from Accuvision to the B&B after the surgery and then at about 7.30 pm went to a local Thai for a meal. Only 3 hours or so after the surgery i was able to read the menu without glasses (albeit slightly blurred). The next morning my vision had improved and today (Friday 31st October) it is better still. I have nothing but the highest praise for all the staff i came into contact with at Accuvision. If only every company/firm in the UK dealt with its clients/customers with such care. i can now read newspapers, teletext, my computer screen at work without the need for glasses. For the first time in my adult life i own a pair of sunglasses and I can't wait to use them on my next foreign holiday. Bob Perry

An excellent service in which i was able to have full confidence a factor which to me was decisive in choosing Accuvision.the effect on my eyesight was, to my surprise, immediate and remains absolutely consistent. I am most grateful

It may seem a bit OTT scoring 5's in every catagory, but I am writing this only one day after surgery completely unaided, without pain or discomfort and overwhelmed at the warm service. I have honestly never met such a welcoming unpompous set of staff in any medical establishment and would love to extend my warm thanks to everyone at accuvision. I am not saying my sight is a result of anything I might have found elsewhere but from start to finish the service has been excellent. Thanks to you all! Steve

I'm 29, and had been wearing glasses since the age of 11. Occasionally I wore contact lenses. I never enjoyed being dependent on these "visual aids" - they were a handicap when it came to sports and other activities, made me feel geeky and awkward at times, and generally held me back from fully enjoying life. Contact lenses in particular were annoying and time consuming to maintain, and would often become dry and uncomfortable after just a few hours' use. I had been considering Lasik since 2002, but was deterred by the high cost. I also felt uncomfortable about the stories I'd heard regarding halos, starbursts, etc. especially for people with large pupils. At a consultation with Accuvision that year, I had my pupils measured and was told they were a whopping NINE millimetres when fully dilated. As the years went by, I began to read more about Lasik, and learned about the improving technology and safety records. I also noticed that the costs were beginning to come down. In 2007, I started making a serious effort towards saving money, and by mid-2008 I was finally able to afford the procedure. Having read countless positive reviews about Accuvision on this site - and done lots of research about the equipment they now used - I went back to them for a consultation. This time, I felt a lot more comfortable about going ahead with the treatment. In particular, I had read about the Allegretto Eye-Q 400 Hz and its ability to treat large pupils. On the day of surgery itself, I was nervous, but at the same time pretty confident about the choice I'd made. The procedure itself was incredibly quick. After a short wait, I was led into the operating room, made to sit on the bed, then they cleaned and anaesthetised my eyes, which took about 5 minutes. Next, they used a microkeratome blade to cut a thin "flap" across my eye - this took a matter of seconds, and there was no pain whatsoever. At the moment of Lasik itself, I had to stare up at some lights for 10 seconds or so, as the laser came down and reshaped my cornea. Again, there was no pain whatsoever, and it happened so quickly that I barely had time to worry. I repeat: there was no pain whatsoever. The other eye was done immediately after that, in exactly the same way. The staff were friendly, professional and very reassuring throughout. They did a couple of checks, which took about 2-3 minutes, then I was led out into the waiting area, where I sat resting for 30 minutes or so before they called me back, did some further checks, then let me go (I had to have somebody accompany me home - in this case, my Dad). So, I was in the operating room for no more than about 15-20 minutes, and the total time spent at the clinic (including surgery) was a little over 1 hour. During the first 24 hours, my vision was quite hazy and blurred - which had me worried at first - but this steadily improved over the following week. It continued to improve over the next 2 months, and got even better by the 3rd month. Before the treatment, my prescription was -5 in both eyes, with moderate astigmatism. I now have better than 20-20 vision, which to be honest is better than I expected. Everything is so crystal clear, it's beautiful. My distance vision is quite simply stunning and I can pick out the finest details on buildings, people and objects. As another reviewer said on here, I find that trees in particular seem to have a new, richer texture that I couldn't appreciate before. On roads and in public areas, I can read the tiniest letters, signs and number plates with no trouble at all. As for halos/starbursts - I do get these at night, but they're so incredibly minor it's really no problem at all. And yes folks, that's even with 9mm pupils. In summary, having Lasik was the best money I ever spent. I feel more confident, more free, and able to lead a richer, more fulfilling lifestyle. No need to worry about losing my glasses anymore, no need to spend ages fumbling around and looking after my contact lenses, no more squinting and feeling like a geek. Crystal clear vision, all day, every day. I would wholeheartedly recommend Accuvision. They are clearly a world class team, using state-of-the-art technology, with proven results and competitive pricing. Please check out their official website which has all the information you need. In particular - if you're worried about large pupils then go with Accuvision. A big thanks to Vikash, Chad and everyone else there who played a part in changing my life!

I had my wavefront eye surgery in the Fulham clinic one month ago. I have just been for my one month check up and I have now more than 20/20 vision. I couldn't be happier about choosing Accuvision, and if this testimonial will help somebody decide to go for it and choose Accuvision then I'll be really happy. The team in Fulham is incredibly professional, kind and anything you wish for when going through a procedure like this. From the booking of the first appointment to the last visit carried out everybody has been friendly, helpful and professional. It it very easy to book an appointment that suits you at any time of the day, and emails are answered in few hours. The team treats you very personally, and you don't feel just a number on a list. The surgery is absolutely painless, and lasts less than a minute for each eye, so don't worry about it at all becuase you really are safe in the expert hands of the surgeon. You can see straight away after the procedure, but a bit of care must be taken during the first 24 hours and it's better to keep your eyes closed as much as possible and relax. It is better to go with somebody that will help you go back home, and I personally would suggest you book previously a taxi unless someone can take you home by car. On the first two weeks the area aroundt he eyes has to be clean, no make up and no water in the eyes. Anyway, a month passes quickly and my eyesight improved day by day. At Accuvision you are taken care of extremely well and you immediately have the feeling you are going to be ok. I also want to mention that the prices are really competitive for the quality of the service, they could easisly charge double the amount but they are very honest and you can pay in monthly instalments. A friend of mine had exactly the same thing done in another bigger and more commerciaized clinic, and apart from paying almost 1000pounds more than what I did, he's also suffering halo effects that will last for 6 months. I didn't have any side effect at all, no halos, no problem with lights at night and so on. It is a wonderful sensation to look at the world without any barrier between it and your eyes. If you feel you want to be free from contacts and glasses you should book an appointment here, you couldn't choose any better clinic.

Thank you to all the staff at the London clinic for a very professional and friendly service. All the testimonials bear out what I experienced - pain free, quick. I can`t believe that I am now without glasses after 45 years. What a great anniversary present. Thank you once again

I had been to a couple of other laser treatment clinics for a discussion about my options before I came to Accuvision in London. For me, the Accuvision London team are leagues ahead of their competition. They made me feel very relaxed, came forward with ideas and options that were not even put forward by the other clinics (mono vision), are very professional , honest and excellent value for money. Their total approach to customer care is outstanding, I cannot praise them enough ... thank you to the Accuvision London Team for transforming my life :-)

Accuvision has changed my life. Having been turned away by 3 other clinics I was very nervous about receiving treatment for my complicated prescription. It took me a long time to arrive at Accuvision – so put off by other high street clinics – I felt there was no hope for me and that I would always have what amounted to a harsh disability in my mind.
The surgeons and all the staff went out of their way to reassure me and help me through every stage of my journey. There was no pressure put on me on the day of my surgery even when it looked like I was about to back out of the entire process. I was given the time and advice needed. At all times I was made aware of the risks and no false promises were made. They even agreed to do one at a time. The improvement in my first eye was immediate and so noticeable that I agreed to go through with the second eye there and then.
My eyesight has now improved so much that I’m about to start driving lessons for the first time – without the need for glasses. I would recommend Accuvision to anyone needing help with their eyes and especially to people who have been told before that the technology isn’t available yet to deal with their condition. They have the technology at Accuvision and the patient care to make even the most terrified of patients feel positive and nurtured. I can’t thank Accuvision enough. I wish I’d found them sooner.

Thank you so much! Everything about Accuvision is first class. I'd had laser surgery about 12 years ago and obviously the technology wasn't as it is now, so my sight regressed. It did give me about 8 years of good vision, however it made me a 'difficult cookie' as Nick in Birmingham said when it came to Accuvision treating me. Well they pulled it off! I'm so pleased with the service before, during and after the surgery. There's genuine care from the whole team. They're extremely professional and honest. My mum had also had surgery about 12 years ago. Unfortunately for her, she was very short sighted and she then regressed much further than I had. After the consultation, Nick said to me 'If she were my mum, I wouldn't let her have surgery again'. The risks for her were far greater and they outweighed the benefits and at a large cost. We were obviously disappointed the surgery was not an option, but so grateful for the honesty and saving us £1000's It's a disablitly as you'll agree, but it's fixable! So, no more glasses! Thank you all for your kindness and care. Businesses could learn a lot from you!
