1. Review of AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic
Established in 2001, AccuVision is a popular destination for people seeking quality, affordable laser eye surgery. This clinic currently operates in five cities nationwide: London, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and Newcastle, and has performed over 40,000 treatments and counting.
What did independent inspectors find? According to the CQC’s latest report, there were no complaints between August 2016 and September 2017 from 1,011 refractive eye procedures carried out at AccuVision.
Is there anything else I should know? Most of the eye surgeons on our site enjoy five-star ratings, and the same is true for AccuVision. But it’s worth noting we only have 10 reviews for Dr Prashant Jindal.
Patients always want to find an ophthalmologist they feel comfortable with. That’s why it’s always a good idea to do your own research by trying to meet with your surgeon at an initial consultation, and many clinics offer these for free.

2. AccuVision Treatments
As well as common laser vision correction treatments – such as LASEK and LASIK with ultra-accurate Wavefront diagnostics – AccuVision also offers lens replacement surgery, including the UK’s most common surgical procedure: cataract surgery.
- LASIK eye surgery
- Trans-Epithelial Surface Treatment
- Lens replacement surgery
- ICL surgery (implantable contact lenses)
- Cataract surgery
- Amblyopia (lazy eye treatment)
So is it safe? AccuVision promises highly sophisticated, automated devices, with world-class Wavefront technology and the Alcon WaveLight EX500 Excimer laser. According to the clinic’s own study of 500 patients, everyone achieved at least driving standard vision following surgery (including repeat surgery).
3. AccuVision Laser Eye Clinic Prices
AccuVision’s prices are reasonable rates in laser eye surgery. On average, 800 patients told Lasik Eyes they paid £1,200 (per eye) for laser eye surgery, and £3,615 (per eye) for lens replacement surgery (including cataract surgery) – few clinics have lower starting prices.
AccuVision doesn’t publish a fixed price list, but here are the costs you can expect for the most popular eye surgeries:
- Consultation Price: Free for initial consultation
- LASIK Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- Trans-Epi Price: Average cost £2,400 for both eyes
- C3R Treatment Price: Average cost £2,000 per eye
Here’s how these prices compare to the eye surgery quotes offered by other clinics:
Treatment | Optical Express Cost (per eye) | Optegra Cost (per eye) | Optimax Cost (per eye) | Centre for Sight Cost (per eye) |
---|---|---|---|---|
LASIK / LASEK | From £595 | £1,795 | £1,695 | £2,400 |
Cataract Surgery | From £3,195 | £2,495 | £2,995 | From £3,150 |
ICL Surgery | From £3,395 | £3,495 | £2,495 | £3,615 |
Eye surgery isn’t an insignificant cost for most people. That’s why AccuVision offers a 10 month finance option, which lets you spread the costs of surgery after the initial deposit into smaller monthly fees. You will need to pass a credit check with Hitachi Capital to gain approval for this payment plan.
That said, most clinics provide finance plans for much longer – up to three years, and also team up with health insurers who may cover at least some of the costs of the surgery (which AccuVision doesn’t).

One week after my surgery I have excellent vision. I am aware that there may be fluctuations because accuvision have been open and honest about the possibilities but I’m delighted so far. The staff were friendly and supportive throughout the proceedure and the level of care and service is outstanding. As the second person in my family to have successful surgery I will be recommending to anyone interested in lazer eye surgery that they approach accuvision for assessment. I travelled from Norfolk to have my treatment and it was worth the inconvenience of travelling to know that I would be treated by experts.

Since having surgery, I have recommended it to everyone who wears glasses with no reservations. It is one of the best things I have done. My eyesight is now better that 20/20 with no after effects whatsoever. The professionals at Accuvision are attentive, helpful and extremely friendly. The whole procedure was simple and smooth, from initial consultation through to aftercare. I have utter confidence in them and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I had done a bit of research before deciding upon Accuvision in Fulham. They were very professional from start to finish. I am so pleased with the result. The process does not hurt at all and I took time to rest up after surgery (I suggest listening to some good podcasts!) but the next day I was out and about.
I went for Accuvision because they are very thorough and good value for wavefront tecnhology. While other firms do the flap procedure by laser, I had no problems because I took care after surgery which meant that the flap was completely stabilised the next day. I don’t think the laser flap is worth the money (double what I paid) if you have qualified proper surgeons like Accuvision has.

Accuvision has changed my life. Having been turned away by 3 other clinics I was very nervous about receiving treatment for my complicated prescription. It took me a long time to arrive at Accuvision – so put off by other high street clinics – I felt there was no hope for me and that I would always have what amounted to a harsh disability in my mind.
The surgeons and all the staff went out of their way to reassure me and help me through every stage of my journey. There was no pressure put on me on the day of my surgery even when it looked like I was about to back out of the entire process. I was given the time and advice needed. At all times I was made aware of the risks and no false promises were made. They even agreed to do one at a time. The improvement in my first eye was immediate and so noticeable that I agreed to go through with the second eye there and then.
My eyesight has now improved so much that I’m about to start driving lessons for the first time – without the need for glasses. I would recommend Accuvision to anyone needing help with their eyes and especially to people who have been told before that the technology isn’t available yet to deal with their condition. They have the technology at Accuvision and the patient care to make even the most terrified of patients feel positive and nurtured. I can’t thank Accuvision enough. I wish I’d found them sooner

Neurovision for Amblyopia (lazy eye)
I have two children who unfortunately have bilateral amblyopia. This was only made apparent to me when my eldest child failed his driving test as he could not read the number plate even with his glasses. Kieran the eldest had aided visual acuity of right eye 6/12 with myopia of -1.25 and his left eye was 6/18 also with myopia of -1.25. I researched amblyopia and thought that nothing could be done. Being unable to drive is a disadvantage for work and social reasons. I eventually read about Neurovision and honestly was a bit sceptical as my son had been referred to southend opthamology unit and again we were told that he had to make the best of what eyesight he had. Then I telephoned Accuvision and spoke to one of the optometrists there. No pressure was given to book an appointment, he just gave me an overview of the treatment. Having spoken to my husband about the treatment I decided to make an appointment which was in early September. Again all the staff were very welcoming and performed many tests on Kierans eyes and confirmed the above prescription. We started the treatment which is done every other day and lasts about 20 minutes. I have to say the treatment is very intense and did give my son headaches, but he kept going. We are just over halfway through treatment on his right eye and to our relief his aided visual acuity is now 6/7.5 and his presciption for myopia has decreased to -0.75. We are really pleased with the result. When he has completed his right eye we will certainly start on his left eye. We also took our youngest son there this month and treatment will hopefully start soon for his right eye.
There are no guarantees for this treatment but from our limited experience from this condition it is really worth investigating. I shall probably post again when we have further results from out two boys. I would just like to thank Mr Patel (Vik) for all the help and support he has given to Kieran.

I visited Accuvision on the recommendation of a friend who’s wife had surgery there. I found the team relaxed, confident and informed at every stage. The consultation wasn’t salesy, and procedure was clean and simple and the aftercare was genuine and helpful.
It is a lot of money, but if you have decided to have LES I would 100% recommend Accuvision

I have worn glasses since I was 7, and wish I had known about Accuvision years ago. I was originally put off by my optician who said I was too short sighted (-11 with astigmatism) for treatment. Due to my age, I also now needed reading glasses.
Last summer I was getting fed up with juggling various kinds of contact lens, varifocals, reading glasses, swimming goggles and scuba mask. I could no longer wear contact lens for longer than about 10 hours and the varifocals were making my eyes very tired. I decided that even some improvement would be great, so I went to see Accuvision.
I was given a thorough eye exam. Due to my age (51) and corneal thickness (average) I was advised that lens replacement would produce a much better result than laser treatment.
I opted for a toric lens replacement, which would also correct the astigmatism. One eye would be slightly long sighted and one eye slightly short sighted so that I could see both distance and near to without having to resort to glasses.
The operations (8 days apart) were very quick (15 mins) with only a little discomfort. I wore an eye patch overnight and the next day I could see very well. My eyes adapted very quickly to the long/short focussing and continued to improve for several weeks after the operations.
The end result has been far beyond my expectations. I can see further than I have ever done and still read food labels in poor light and colours are much brighter. The freedom from juggling lenses, glasses and tired eyes is marvellous. When doing water and other active sports, I no longer have the worry of contact lens or glasses or tired eyes.
Thank you Accuvision.

I had surgery just before Christmas and to say I was nervous is a big understatement! I had a large perscription (-7.0 in the left eye & -8.0 in the right), plus a minor astigmatism in both (which my normal optician had never previously noticed!).
I would never have dared to go for surgery if it wasn't for the new wavefront guided technology, which gave me the reassurance that the surgery was more likely to be successful, as the lasers are programmed to account for individual differences in the eye and are not just standard for everyone.
I can't praise the staff enough - they were fully informative about the procedure and the results I could expect, and were very friendly and reassuring - especially with a wimp like me!
I now have 20/20 vision and the only problem I've encountered so far is getting used to not wearing glasses or contacts! I have so much confidence in the staff and technology that I would recommend Accuvision to everyone - in fact my Sister is having a consultation this week!

The initial consulation helps to ease the nerves as they are extermely thorough and take time to answer all your questions. I went away without any doubt that this was a safe and worthwhile proceedure. The actual surgery is quick and painless, although it is very uncomfortable, but you can see, and see better, immediately. And in my case, I was complelety better with almost 20/20 vision about four hours later.
