I am a 66yr old woman who has reluctantly worn glasses for the past 20+ years. I thought laser eye surgery could be the answer for me. I contacted Visualase (recommended by a friend) and was instantly put at ease by the professional, friendly,approach of the reception staff. After consultation it was agreed Bilateral LASIK would be best for me. This means I have one eye for reading and the other for distance. Having previously had contact lenses which worked in this way, I felt reasonably confident I would be able to make the adjustment.

I visited a couple of clinic, Visualase being one that I was recomended by a relative.
The admin staff were excellent, made me feel very relaxed, the consultation with the surgeon was great, he explained everything in simplistic terms but in great detail even showing me the theatre and how each bit of the process worked.
The treatment itself was very quick and painless. ALL aftercare has been fantastic. This is the best thing I have done. Visualase made me feel like a person, not a number on a lsit like other clinics

The whole staff are really friendly and welcoming. especially the receptionist. The treatment was completely pain free, I had no discomfort at all either during or after the treatment.
I left Visualase at 1pm, slept for a couple of hours and by 4.30 I was watching TV and reading the paper. I am more than happy with my new vision!
It took me four years to get up the courage to have this treatment and I wish I had done it sooner. I would highly recommend Visalase and Dr Doyle to anyone.

I have been short sighted since the age of 11 and had to wear glasses or contact lenses all my adult life. I have considered having laser eye surgery for years but was always a bit scared that something might go wrong! I had surgery in February this year. I am absolutely delighted with my new eyes and can't believe how wonderful it is not to worry about wearing glasses, my vision is perfect, no more glasses; it really is amazing. The clinic and staff were fantastic, very professional, really helpful and extremely friendly.

Absolutely brilliant! If I had known it was going to be this good and this easy, I would have had it done years ago. It only took 8 seconds of laser treatment on each eye to give me better than 20:20 vision. I travelled to Bolton from North Wales because I had been recommended to have treatment under Dr. Doyle. He was extremely professional and reassuring. The procedure was totally painless and by the next morning, I could drive home with perfect vision. Two weeks on and I am still extremely pleased and can't wait to look out of the window every morning to enjoy my new eyes. Extremely good value for money and I paid on interest free credit.

A fantastic experience from start to finish. The clinic is run really professionally and all of my questions were answered. On the day itself, I was very nervous but everybody was amazing and the procedure ran very smoothly. The difference it has made to my life is unbelievable and the money spent is worth every penny. My eyes were -6.25 and after a 10 minute procedure they were 20/20 vision.

I would certainly recommend both lasik laser eye surgery and the Visualase Clinic to anyone considering laser eye surgery. After following the pre and post operative instructions to the letter,I have had no problems whatsoever and after attending a 5 month checkup have been told thatI now have 20/20 vision.
